New Order - Weirdo Lyrics
The other day I came across
Someone I knew and he was lost
I don't care what we have done
You never will believe it
It's a life that's made for me
So long as I obey this sound
That echoes all around
Just like the ocean or the sea
Just like the blood that burns in me
Someone like you cannot be free
Just like a lock without a key
Just like the ocean or the sea
Just like the blood that burns in me
Someone like you cannot be free
Just like a lock without a key
Just like the ocean or the sea
Just like the blood that burns in me
Someone like you cannot be free
Just like a lock without a key
Just like the ocean or the sea
Just like the blood that burns in me
Someone like you cannot be free
Just like a lock without a key
So, I thought this cannot be
There's someone else in here with me
I don't care where we have been
You never will believe it
I know you and you know me
And we're as happy as we can be
I know where this world belongs
It don't mean much to me
Just like the ocean or the sea
Just like the blood that burns in me
Someone like you cannot be free
Just like a lock without a key

New Order Weirdo Comments
Without doubt their best LP its fucking brillliant never came close to anything as good after
Great song !!
I threw the key in the little stream under the grassy fence with the dead bird with the crooked neck I found in front of the mechanics on the main road from my home
MUITO BOM ESTE DISCO
They had this uncanny knack of writing songs with what almost seem like unintentional counter-melodies. From 2:37 onwards, a sudden key change just lifts the song into another level altogether. They haven't a clue what they were doing and it is simply fucking glorious.
Amazing album.
Like them more and more as my time rolls on.
New Order is aging like wine!
HAMBJAMB!?
this is the ham *jam
here's to those who seek the slavery of freedom from freedom ;v
That bit where the bass dips down, pure Hooky magic !
I STILL DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY "PARADISE" AND THIS SONG WERE NOT SINGLES
I think brotherhood was N.O.'s best album overall; 7 great all-time songs...
Marc Domicello agree best album masterpiece
Bought this in 86 their best work ever sadly went downhill after
It's at least their most underrated album. This song is amazing and catchy as hell but I never see many fans mention it.
one of the most underrated songs of all-time new wave music; if only most americans like me and friends had a clue, new order would have not only sold out Jones Beach theater and pier 84, in 1985-1987; they would have sold out MSG much sooner than 1989
I love american New Order fans, like my friend Deborah from Baltimore <3
I was at the Pier 84 show with Echo & the Bunnymen headlining, great show and a great time to be into music
30 years old and this song sounds better and better.
The songs are really good on this album, but it was poorly produced in my opinion.
I agree, they all need to be remastered to the quality of Bizarre Love Triangle
NEW ORDER FOREVER!!!
great, great lp. Their best.
I still remember finding this as a new release , scraping together the money and finally buying it . I still swoon with the same pleasure hearing it now .
2 great bands.....fate
Get over it. New Order has put out a plethora of quality CDs since, what, 30 years ago?
this album is in my top 3 of all time...magnificent music!
(setting sons and born in the usa are the others)
This is insanely beautiful.
love the riffs.
you love it when you go oooh..when sancho is ramming you from behind !! lol...just kidding man great song its a great throw back..
I love it when he goes "oooh" after some verses.
@vwripitup haha...akai walkman!
love new order, gets the blood pumping.
New Order, killing me slowly since I was 7 years old and I listened to "Blue Monday"
Side 1 of the lp is my favorite by them.
In comparison, and in spite of the inclusion of BLT (a masterpiece of a song) side 2 bizarrely fails IMO
@ftwelve12 Right? New Order is know for having 3 min intros and then you hear this song.
@ftwelve12 you never would believe it "uh!".... fuckin class
Weirdo and broken promise another face of NO
I heart here some piece of Placebo isn't?
@hughwrang Well you may be joking but it's actually preferable to this shite!
@PJownsyoursoul come on - what about the Lady in Red? You're mad.
I think it's their most underrated cd, but it's my favorite.
This is not only New Order's best song - I truly believe it to be the best song of the 80's.
Absolutely wonderful pop tune and its their finest moment
