I saw Neil Diamond at a Chicago concert in the 70’s.

This is such a very beautiful song.

I would like to dedicate this beautiful song to an equally beautiful man - my dad. He passed away last month after a long illness. He was a great Neil Diamond fan, and he also enjoyed carpentry.

I've been listening to Neil for a long time & don't believe I've heard this song before tonight. And thank you for the beautiful back round.

Neil's songs touch the heart. This one I just recently discovered. I used to listen to Neil Diamond with my girlfriend in high school. I would give everything I have to share this one with her.

Dad and I didn't always get along. But, near the end of his life, it was good, and the last thing I said to him was that I loved him.

He listened to Diamond a lot when we were married. We had 3 wonderful years to spend together

Miss her so much and whenever I hear this particular song, I recall those sweet, special days like it was yesterday. I have been a fan since 1974 or so, I have been very fortunate to have been able to see him so many times. I really do not know how many but I did see him two nights in one week when he was in Worcester Ma still have the t-shirt. In The Round Tour. I saw him about 5 or 6 years he was at Foxwoods, I too lost my father at an early age 53, he left behind his wife, and 14 children but I always say it is too bad he never really got a chance to enjoy his children as he was a marine through and through as I type that I realize not all Marines act that way. When he passed I, as I was in a foster home and had not seen him for 3 years. When I hear Niel Diamond sing this song it kind of puts things in perspective, puts me in a more forgiving spirit.

This song has always reminded me of Gramps even before he passed away. My Gramps could do anything building houses, wood work to inventing, writing books etc. I remember him teaching my brother his craft.
