The echoing feeling of something familiar and distant

One day this band might make an album that doesn’t sound like all the others. This new one is on par with a lazy Coldplay album. Does the drummer only play one rhythm and does the singer only sing one melody ? Very very very average and a band who would be quickly forgotten if/when they give it up. Get some new ideas guys. This new album sounds the same as the last 5. Fucking lazy, coasting pseudo indie.

I think it's one way of interpretation. I understood differently. I think Rylan is talking/thinking to himself and if he was always holding back his feelings and emotions, being so quiet and introspective, there's no need to show anything when he finaly decides to climb into the ocean... If it's the end it doesn't make sense anymore
