one of the best songs they've ever done

how this tune, and this record, never got more respect is beyond me. IMO some of the last really great, simple rock music made before everything sounded like Barbie's Dream Studio

I was a huge Crue fan as a kid. When I bought the greatest hits cd, I played it for the first time in my then girlfriends bedroom. Cranked this song up, she thought I was crazy but by the end of it I was going down on her. Those were great times.

This is a good song but damn sometimes Nikki's lyrics are so basic..

Bitter pill is a euphemism for Nikki’s heroin addiction. Once I learned that, the song became much more appealing to me. To be able to express overcoming a major addiction in such a beautiful way, rather than coming off as disgruntled or truly “bitter”, says a lot about the band.

God I love motley crues music so fucking much they were my first concert ,then again tommy lee and Nikki sixx had to open they're fat fucking mouths spewing they're stupid political beliefs and bashing anyone with opposing view (so a lot of their fanbase )and Vince Neil turned into a fat fuck with no decency for any one ,at least mick Mars is still the cool quiet one it's like stfu you dicks no one cares about your political shit just stick to music please for the love of metal !!!!!

randy castillo covered for tommy in the studio, but didnt tour as he got cancer and was too ill, so sam maloney (i think thats her last name, might be wrong) did the touring in his place...unfortunately randy eventually died...he also played and toured with ozzy on the ozmosis tour? the one with 'perry mason' on it anyways. loved crue when i was 14, now 40 still love em! ...see ya!

Tommy definitely played the drums. Bob Rock produced it and ENSLAVED for 1998 Greatest Hits. Tommy and motley toured this from fall 98 til spring 99. I saw 3 shows that tour including this song live. Rad tune. Enslaved also. Tommy wrote Enslaved in prison just before this.
