I don't write letters for anyone and in a few relationships I had before, the other person sometimes would write me a letter and that was beautiful and I was thankfull for that. But now it's different. My boyfriend writes me a letter for every month we're together, even he gets sure to not repeat the color of the paper, to bend it in a heart's shape and to add details only we can undertand. A few months ago I got the idea to write him back and do my best to give him the most beautiful letter, in a month we'll celebrate a year together. Yes, its different, but its still sooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing. Maybe its just because i listen to all types of music, Mother Mother is my forever favorite though.

The entire new album is awesome. For me there is something to love about nearly every song. Letter is quickly becoming my favorite on an album of amazing songs.

I may be new to the fandom, but I think I love Mother Mother already XD

The moment I heard this song I knew it sounded similar to another by them, and just now I finally remembered which song it was! This sounds similar to one of my favourites from the album O my heart: Wisdom!

I really like the sound of it but I'm not really a fan of the lyrics, especially the first couple of lines. They just seem a little shallow (not like vain, but like the opposite of deep).

This song is so touching. It reminds me of all the abusive relationships I've been in, and experiencing getting iced out for months at a time because they got so pissed off at me they refused to even acknowledge me. It hurt so bad, and sometimes, I still cry about it. I love MM, they really get the struggles people suffer from.

jeez you're pretty nice huh, you too, but you still shouldn't write about that kind of stuff, it should stay private, as it is something you should be open about, to friends and people you know, but not to the internet where you know no one, like i said before, its essentially the same thing as walking up to a random person and telling them about how you were abused, which would be a really, really bad thing to do

This is not the mother mother that I loved. I guess nobody is immune to the short term appeal of mainstream and broader audiences. They've abandoned their sound that made them so unique.

Josippy They're still unique in sound. They just made a more modern twist to their style.

Was alright with the trying something new (electronic sound) on your guy's last album... But I think I'm ready for you guys to go back to the O My Heart and Eureka sound that really pulled out your guy's genius song writing. The electronic sound just sounds a tad lazy at this point compared to the "real" instrumentation and song structure you guys at going for you before. This stuff is alright don't get me wrong, it just doesn't feel as genuine anymore as your old music... I have a feeling it will fall in the pop genre of albums, where the singles are really good like "Love Struck", but all the in between songs will be no more then filler tracks.

Anchored Soul - yeah kind of a far cry from the cabaret pop of Touch Up, eh? Each album since has been great in their own way, but if you'd told me in 2007 they'd release a song like this I wouldn't have believed it.

Definitely sounds more like Today's run of the mill pop, but I think at some point a band has to do a song or two that's sorta just "normal". I wouldn't say just yet that the new music will be nothing but this.

Letter, Love Stuck, and The Drugs are all pre-released songs from their new upcoming album No Culture. Mother Mother is currently touring, but the album will be released after the tour is done.
