I love this song because I live in a very small town. All we have is a gas station and a post office. Maysville Arkansas used to be a nice town but it almost died along time ago but we try to keep it from be a memory. Just be careful driving threw because you blink you miss it LOL.

It's amazing how some songs can just pick you up and whisk you away to another time. To lifted trucks, Flowmasters, shoulder tapping at Rooneys before going gigging. It was always a good time if you made it. This summed up growing up in small town LB perfectly. Today's generation will never know, and that's unfortunate. Throwing this on repeat today.

Amen, Brother. I grew up in Atwater before there was a McDonalds. Played a few sports against some of the LB kids. I go back to visit my mom in Aywater now, and the place isn't the same. Fast food joints, mini malls, apartments and houses where a lot of open fields and farm land used to be. But I loved growing up there. Me and a buddy tossing some food in a back pack, grabbing our BB guns and hitting the canal banks for an all day adventure. Then getting older and cruising main street in Merced. Lots of good times.

There used to be this great little store in LB that served the best nachos on the planet.....can't remember the name, though.
