Moody Blues, The - Visions Of Paradise Lyrics

The sounds in my mind just come to me
Come see, come see
And the call of her eyes makes waterfalls
Of me, of me

In the garden of her love I'll stay awhile
To be, to be
What the seeds of her thoughts once mean to me
Come see, come see

Visions of paradise, cloudless skies I see
Rainbows on the hill, blue onyx on the sea
Come see, ah, ah, ah

And the sounds in my mind just come to me
Come see, come see
And the call of her eyes, makes waterfalls
Of me, of me

This is one of their highest songs ever.

  9. T.... L....

    Marvelous.

  10. R.... P....

In Search Of The Lost Chord is right up there for me as one of the greatest albums of the 60’s. AND it still sounds fabulous today, thanks in no small part to their great producer Tony Clarke who hardly ever gets a mention. He was held in such high esteem at the time that he was referred to as the sixth Moody.

  11. B.... E....

Despite my lifelong affinity for the Moody Blues, "In Search of the Lost Chord" was one album I never had in my collection; so this is the first time I've heard this tune. I like, I like!

  12. M.... S....

For me it started one summer in the middle of the night. I was 15 during summer break 1970. I heard a song that was new to me. I waited till the end to know the name and the DJ went right on to several more songs. It was almost a month later when I heard it again and learned the name. It was Question. My life changed forever. Thank you Justin, John, Graeme, Mike and Ray.

Beautiful....takes me back to that bubbly spring in the grass.  So so many years ago.!!  Love this. <3

  16. C.... S....

I'm 62, and The Moody Blues are still my favourite group. The depth and beauty of their music, the inspiration in the lyrics - still as relevant today as when I 1st heard (and fell in love with) them over 50 years ago. Certainly they are amongst the best musicians of all time.

    C.... S....

I must agree, Christopher. The lyrics are especially beautiful.

    C.... S....

Same here; same age, discovered the Moodies maybe a year before you did when Nights in White Satin was first released as a single in the U.S. and got barely any air time. Four years later, heard Seventh Sojourn and I was inextricably hooked. For good.

  17. B.... ....

Not just a Justin Hayward song! First released on their album In Search of the Lost Chord, it was written jointly by band members Justin Hayward and Ray Thomas, and was the first of many collaborations between them. The song is primarily led by Justin Hayward's voice and Ray Thomas's flute, with the lyrics describing the writer's perception of paradise.

  18. B.... ....

Blue onyx, rainbows and waterfalls. So evocative.

  19. M.... ....

  28. J.... I....

When you have a wonderful song to work with, the visuals sort of fall into place. I LOVE this song--one of my favorites! Thank you for your comment!

  35. L.... M....

This is one of my all time favorite albums. Just took a trip to the Smokey Mountains and listened to this album while driving through the Smokey Mountain National Park. It was great!

spring is right around the corner her in st. louis, I am gonna get an oz of weed and sit in the park and listen to some moody blues....no, i wont smoke the whole oz. a couple of hits of "grandpas weed" will do.

  38. M.... ....

    Wonderful song.

  39. R.... P....

"In search of the list chord" is a masterpiece of an album and this particular piece is sublime, transcendent, beautifully played; the group at their deepest and most original.

    R.... P....

Exactly another land is created in my mind one that I can relate to one that I believe have been to or a least a lucid dream I once had a long time ago. And I was told that they'd come for me again someday. This land was like this one only there was no war and like there never was any either. Perhaps this is an illusion my mind has made up to combat the hideousness of war.

    R.... P....

Nice thought. Similar place in my mind I go to when I hear this. First visited when I was 13; now I'm 63...the place is still there....

    R.... P....

The Moody Blues were so unique their music so mystical and so insightful into using your mind use your mind leave your body behind

  40. W.... 9....

@abyios and irene. To think they weren't even 30 when they made this. One of my favorites. OM too. This makes me cry sometimes.

  41. M.... ....

the lyrics and music ... so simple and kind...loving...spiritual

  42. i.... ....

what a song..........just lifts me up God I love these guys

    i.... ....

I've read some of your comments on other MB songs Irene. Just want to say I hope you're well

    i.... ....

I am fine how about you? I just love these guys and if you want to hear a mind blowing song, at least for me it is, look up Justin Hayward singing Mac Arthur Park especially the end I couldn't believe the high notes he hit, gave me goose bumps. Wanted to go see them in Vegas but every time I saved up a little money something came up here and poof, goes the money . I did get to see Justin In May so I guess I will have to be happy with that. I can say that but I am a greedy person so I WANT MORE lol can't help it forgive me I am okay, just have a weird sense of humour, love to laugh and have fun

    i.... ....

@irene Now that sounds fascinating. I was recently rediscovering the Richard Harris version, coincidentally enough.
Saw the MB in the 70's and I hope somehow to see at least some of them again.

    i.... ....

you won't be disappointed when you listen to Justin's version I must have played the pixils out of it, can't get over how he hits those notes just love it .

  43. J.... W....

Somehow I'm going to get a request up to the boys to play this little masterpiece on the 22nd when they're in town here in our beautiful new performing arts center in Wilmington, NC. I can't begin to estimate how many times we (my buddies and I) listened to the Moodies in our hooch while in Vietnam, '68/'69. Fortunately, the acoustics/fidelity in our new center are, as Boz Scaggs remarked when he performed here, "as good as they get," hopefully complementing the Moodies full, surround, left and right movement in their songs. It's amazing what a magnet a state of the art performing facility and a hungry audience will do to the music scene here. Can't wait.

    J.... W....

+Jack Weiss I envy you. I live in Austin, TX and all we get are hipster club bands. Sure, some are pretty good but groups like The Moodys and Yes, for instance, don't come here. This may be the 'live music capital of the world" but I think it sucks.

  44. D.... N....

I got my VIP tickets for 495 for the March 15 concert in N Charleston
SC... I have seen them 5 times and always loved it. This will be the
climax of 50 years of love of music that woke me up of my miserable self
doubt and inadequacy I still have to live with but with music their is
always hope love and revelation... Thank God for The Moody Blues such a
great treasure, band and inspiration for us all...

  45. M.... P....

    Humility before the Lord,yes

  46. W.... 9....

    so pretty.

  47. G.... ....

Been a fan since 1970, have attended 3 of their concerts in Sydney...which is just not enough! :(

The sounds in my mind just come to me

    Of me, of me
In the garden of her love I'll stay awhile

Love that song....love that whole album. I'm currently taking a Yoga class at work. We always start the session with the whole group doing "Om". Every single time the song flashes thru my head and I start singing to myself.... " and they give it a word and the word is Om". :-)

  67. b.... h....

there are no minor songs to me....they are all beautiful...

  68. m.... b....

  69. b.... h....

this is one of my favorite songs....
