Moody Blues, The - Remember Me (My Friend) Lyrics

You don't need to ask me if I'll be your friend
I am
I am
You don't need to ask me if I'm sure my friend
I am

I am your friend
You must remember me
I'm the one who saw through the world's disguise
Took away it's cloak and I made it hide
From me
Remember me?

Walking on this earth finding you
You, you
Walking on this earth finding you
You, you
What can I say
You don't need to find the words to say what's on your mind

If you need a reason to begin again
I am
I am
You will find an answer at your journey's end
I am
Waiting there my friend
You must remember me
I'm the one who knew you when

I'm the one you call your friend
Feel free
Remember me

Walking on this earth finding you
You, you
Walking on this earth finding you
You, you
What can I say
You don't need to find the words to say what's on your mind

Walking on this earth finding you
You, you
Walking on this earth finding you
You, you
What can I say
You don't need to find the words to say what's on your mind
Walking on this earth finding you
You, you
Walking on this earth finding you
You, you

Walking on this earth finding you
You, you
You, you
You, you
You, you

When I first heard this song I loved it, but it disturbed me on some level because it didn't make any sense, and I couldn't resolve it… Then about a year later, all of a sudden, while listening to it again, it hit me out of the blue! And I still remember my astonished realization that this is about Jesus, I AM, our closest friend, and the one who will be at our journeys end… The ONLY one who would know that I don't have to say the words that are on my mind. "Those who have ears let him hear".. I was unable to hear, but suddenly in the 80's my ears were opened and the meaning was revealed to me, and I am forever grateful I am wondering if that is the day I can mark as the day I was saved? I wasn't going to church at the time, hadn't been to church in years, was mostly agnostic,, but I do feel He was trying to make Himself known to me...

The Moody Blues- world's greatest rock and roll band ever. Art rock! We saw Justin Haywood in Des Moines two weeks ago. I could've stayed all night. Thank you Moody Blues for a lifetime of my very dearest music!

And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

  13. j.... ....

You are right. Enjoy the show!

  14. G.... A....

True...at least now they still have Graeme Edge. I'm seeing them again this Oct. Sure miss Mike, and Ray though, they're just not the same without 'em.

    G.... A....

the whole group along with Justin Hayward is the best in the world doesn't matter who he adds for musicians

  15. j.... ....

    Not exactly.

    j.... ....

jtm0071 yes, but is good (same)

  16. j.... ....

Truth matters. People need to get their facts straight. This is The Blue Jays (Justin Hayward & John Lodge) from their first and only album recorded during a 5-year hiatus of The Moody Blues following their 7th album 'Seventh Sojurn'. Only Hayward & Lodge & producer Tony Clarke were involved in this album, the other 3 band members of The Moody Blues (Mike Pinder, Ray Thomas and Graeme Edge) were NOT involved, so this is NOT The Moody Blues. Google it.

    j.... ....

you're right if you're a true Moody Blues fan you will know they called them the Blue Jays after they took a hiatus before the 1988 album came out when I saw them at the Mann Music Center Shur Lamar!!

    j.... ....

Not 1988 it was 1981 with Long Distance Voyager.

    j.... ....

True, but this song is on a "best of " album by the Moody Blues.

  17. b.... ....

Love the song but someone didn't proofread the lyrics before they put this up.

    b.... ....

they are not truly Blues fan if you can hear them with your eyes closed you'll know exactly what they're saying. The best in the world.

  18. G.... A....

The Blue Jays were still the Moody Blues...

  19. A.... ....

    Jesus. <33

  20. G.... C....

This is not the Moody Blues, it is Justin Hayward and John Lodge, they did this seperate album in 1975 and called themselves the Blue Jays, I believe this is the only album they did as a duo.
