Miss May I - Saints, Sinners And Greats Lyrics
All the saints, the sinners, and greats.
Have always surrendered in their time of fate.
I'll take my name and make history.
Not being cowards they wanted for me.
I'll retrace my steps.
Bury those trenches.
Walking over with glory.
All the saints (all the saints), the sinners, and greats.
Will be gone (gone).
Gone one day.
I will not abide to the times.
Refusing to look up to someone with power.
My bones are comparable.
But we are, covered in the storms.
We live unbalanced.
Born to be fools.
Adoring lost souls.
All the saints (all the saints), the sinners, and greats.
Will be gone (gone).
Gone one day.

Miss May I Saints, Sinners And Greats Comments
Am i the only one that thinks this song sounds a little like InFlames?? Like if you took the vocals away, it could almost be an InFlames track.
0:35 sounds like gears
sounds like Darkest Hours golden days i love it
other people: Shitty vocals blah blah
Me: sounds great.
People need to realize if they like a band and they start exploring other sounds don't discredit them or bash them for it. congratulate them for trying something new
Take the instrumentals from this album and combine them with monuments vocals and you have the greatest album ever made
All the songs in the album have great potential.
I could be totally wrong, but i feel like Levi put a lot of thought into the meaning behind the songs, but didn't do a great job of making the lyrics flow with the song. It's great that he puts himself into his songs now, not just creating music just to make it sound good. But i don't think he put as much effort into his part of the song. Or at least, he did, but he just wasn't as successful. Kinda sacrificed the quality for meaning.
People are complaining about the sound being different. Honestly, if levi would get his voice back a lot of people would stop complaining. It's solid music. Imagine this album with his old vocals and if joey produced it. It would sound amazing. Not saying it's bad but it's not the best I've heard.
lion lost on the previous album returned, i felt powerful energy and it remains on the metal pattern they set \m/ cheering for MMI
SHUT THE EFF UP! You all are stuck in your own worlds! GTFO! AAFTW is long gone. You guys are bums. They make more than you and I and you all consider yourself veiwers or fans? You just talk shit about bands and tell them how to actually make music! BUMS! STFU and listen to the album again and again till you get AAFTW out of your thick ass head!
with the way music is these days and the genre they play they cant be making all that much ....
@WhiitE KryPtZ lol its like linkin park and hybrid theory
Not feeling this album at all. Not good when 2 songs only stick in your head.
why wasn't the whole album like this...
Wow, this is actually a good record people are just bitching just because it's not apologizes. Apologies is a dead record and people need to get over it. I graduated in 2009 let's keep it that way.
You're kidding yourself. I started listening to At Heart more and it had more enjoyable, classic MMI feel to it. They put the newly arisen lion to shame on this one.
Dude, AAFTW is dead, and so is the genre. This is a really young sound for them like Killswitch Engaged. Why do you think they went on tour with them? They should do a album with Adam D next.
FINALLY something close to how original they use to be!
I actually like the screams, i just miss the orgasmic riffs from monument
This song reminds me of melodic death metal. Pretty rad
His voice is so fucked.
parts of these songs remind me of the very first a7x album
the same in all songs of the album....
Miss May I... what happened..? Sheeeeeeiiiit, hope next album is better, fucking loved this band.. well, love is still there, just not with this album.
Getting some Darkest Hour vibes from this tune
Love this song and "Gone". The rest are a bit ehh, maybe because this song was promised as a classic MMI song.
It was xD And it's what they should've kept up with.
I hope u guys no its new drummer
You're a moron. It's still Jerod Boyd.
@Josh Pansera no its a new. Drummer you loser
Sure whatever you say smart guy
Chorus has somewhat a War Of Ages feel
This is the best album ever
This is going to take time to get into.
Well, bottom line is that this album is definitely a step down from their previous albums. I've never been able to take Levi serious as a vocalist. His lyrics have never seemed genuine. I'm not saying hes a bad front man/ vocalist, but as a lyricist, yes hes not that great.
9 people are listening to Justin Bieber !
Omg this is amazing! Why aren't all the new songs like this!!!!?
dude i want to hear the last letter and burn my pages from their deluxe edition!!! i hope there like in recognition tbh.
This song is literally verse, chorus, verse, chorus... wow.
Such an amazing song. WHY COULDNT THE WHOLE BE LIKE THIS?
I love the feel of this song, every song on the album should've looked at this song. It had the fast-paced drumming, the guitar riffs of the first two albums, and the vocals were good just only needed a few other types. Other than that I enjoyed this song!
The drums are different from last two albums cause its a different drummer duh
@allen scott If you wanna be a raging troll about it then I can gladly tell your newbie ass that there is NO drummer. Shut the hell up and next time learn to spell.
@allen scott That's the original drummer....
The only song I like from the album.
so glad they have this song on their album. It takes me back to their classic songs from Monument and AAFTW. I was not a fan of that iHeart album for the most part.
Vocals remind me of darkest hour....but uglier lol
Go die. Drink bleach please.
This song needs a video
If they made the whole album similar to this the album would be epic.
Now THIS is the Miss May I that I fell in love with <3
Do you honestly think your folks comments about how they changed their style is going to affect their sales? your just few out of the many thousands that are going to still buy the album and still give sales to Rise Records and Miss May I. So you can bitch about the vocals or cleans or the instruments....Levi is still going to make more money than you'll ever make. Metal has lost its touch. I'm glad their going back to old school style not this post hardcore and dubstep shit. Keep up the good work MMI
This might be the only good song on the album...because it sounds like AAFTW
Or just stop using so many acronyms like a bunch of god damn pilgrims. Welcome to the SOMKWUTMA!
Can anyone figure that out^? lol
@knifefromHeLL
No. Stop...
I forgot it was something like Scene something metal kids who use too many acronyms. Or stupid something metal kids
So true man, this is the only song I can really listen to off this album.
I respect Levi's effort to sing.
Happy there were no clean vocals to ruin this one..
This album is booty
Very "Apologies Are for the Weak" esk... I love it. Great job guys.
Very "Apologies Are for the Weak" esk... I love it. Great job guys.
OPINION TIME: I can respect bands striving for different sounds and aspects in their albums, and stuff -.-, but dear god holy hell this album is a disappointment. Can they leave at least a little easter egg of what they used to sound like, for those of us who have been with them from the beginning. Levi sounds like he swallowed sulfur, the drum kit sounds really old school, no pop with the snare, and Ryan's Vocals (imo) kill every tone set by them except for in Gone. Guitars are still thrashy and riffy, as they should be with MMI. I was rooting for them after At Heart, and now I feel like a jackass.. -.-
this song gave me hope that Levi's voice wasn't going to be fucked up like Danny Worsnop's
Hey guys it was how I was hearing it that I thought that his voice was going out but when I heard this song it sounded okay I'm just voicing my opinion
listen to "the price of beauty" with danny worsnop from ending is the beginning memorial show. he kills that shit.
@iHeartbound
no, he can't...
please, oahh please, go to a live show!
(he was "decent", now his voice is so bad)
really was never that good live,& Ben is just has bad...
@iHeart Cody
The last time I seen him was 2 years ago.
its cool, I liked them at one point...
(until they just sold out completely)
This sounds like a good song for an NHL game :)
I have a lot of mmi on mine! My custom chel playlist is mostly mmi, alice in chains, and silverchair. Best combo ever
This isn't their best album but I think it's a huge step up from At Heart. I'm glad that they still have thrashy riffs and aren't just shitty breakdowns.
holy shit, this is amazing
*sighs* if only the rest of the album had this same vibe...
I miss the old drumming. It seems as though he's slowed quite a bit-- I get that it's personal progression and all that, but I just feel like a lot of the Monument-esq intricacy and speed is gone.
not really,
fast drums are there,
its just the songs aren't that fast...
I know what you mean Alec. Hahah i remember hearing 'Monument' the track.. and thinking omfg the drummer is going to hate himself now that he has to play this live every show hahahaha.
But at least this song brings back a bit of the Apologies/Monument memories
Drums definitely aren't as complex or interesting as AAFTW or Monuments
@John Doe I never get tired of listening to those albums
i have enjoyed only this song and darker days
pretty disappointing
Umm yes he was watch videos on warped tour :)
@iHeart Cody ryan did not record on aaftw or vows for a massacre... he joined after they recorded aaftw
yeah, ryan didn't record AAFTW or vows, it was a buddy of theirs named josh. he left the band when they decided to tour and ryan left rose funeral to join back up with miss may i
It's missing a lot that AAFTW And Monument had right,. This is my favorite song on the album so far by far.
He was in the band check iTunes,
check with themselves,(therefacebook) & listen/read he joined in 2007... First album was 2009 think about it...(he left & came back)
