Minus The Bear - Pony Up! Lyrics
You raise your eyes to mine,
Like the sunrise.
Your eyes move me,
Like the nightfall.
But you can only...
How can we claim that we know ourselves?
But you can only...
You raise your eyes to mine,
Like the sunrise.
Your eyes move me,
Like the nightfall.
How can we claim that we know ourselves?
How can we claim that we know ourselves?
But you can only...

drums are rediculous
Fuck you! to the person who disliked!!!
the whole album is right to the soul
Jesus hell, I miss old Minus The Bear. This album, Highly Refined Pirates and Menos El Oso bring back so many good memories.
"Miaow!" brought me here.
Too Dope!!
What made sliced bread so great?
If you don't like much of the music from the past ten years you clearly have NOT been listening to the right stuff. The list goes on and on of brilliant obscure stuff.
This was the first song by MTB I ever heard. I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I proceeded to take 5 hits of acid in philadelphia and drive down the highway listening to it on repeat. It changed my life.
Sound engineering precise just like in seventies. Many sounds, not distorting each other. You hear what you want to hear. I really love this song.
Dave fucking Knudson.
@pookeysama
Stop trying hard.
this song is so underrated
The first time I heard this song, The solo caught me by surprise so much.
It's crazy good.
perfect song to get stoned to and lay down to
soo is this basically "indie rock" or "softish not really what you think of soft rock" or "the too fucking amazing to even be label to what kind of music it relates to" :)
Its fricken awesome how they twist the music in with the lyrics as in the lyrics go you raise your eyes to mine like the sun rise your eyes move me like the nightfall. You can draw correlations between that and when they say like the nightfall it gets all dark and an epic guitar solo breaks out and at the end the solo goes away and its just acoustic and he says you raise your eyes to mine...well now that the nightfall is over all thats left is the sunrise.
@baranan or Hey! Is that a ninja up there? that song is what got me hooked on MTB
notice the bottom left corner: .34575 X 4.937525 which comes out to be roughtly 1.7071493
half of the square root of 2 (sqrt(2)/2) is .7071069 then +1 is 1.7071069 the same number significant to 4 digits after the decimal.
what conclusions can we draw? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
love the music, OMNI is awesome. can't wait to see you live

i wish they would remaster this song. it's fucking unbelievable but i think jakes vocals could be a little better. either way this is the first minus the bear song i ever heard. rock on.
and it's not generic like a solo
they're using it like a trendy party rock version of a component of a hip hop beat
i agree. very good stuff. from a drummers point of view, that is.
