I am a massive Paul young fan , I was lucky enough to shake his hand at the end of a Mike and the mechanics concert at the. symphony Hall Birmingham then before I knew it he was gone . What a talent .. sadly missed 😪

"You'll never get bad information, if you believe in the mouth". Little did I know buying this album (back when it was released in the early 90s) that I would today find it to have such a different interpretation. Nor did they, most likely. They just accidentally recorded the "fake news" song. (note to haters: I'm a big Genesis fan, I just find it funny that in retrospect the lyrics of this song didn't age very well due to factors beyond them)

This song made me buy the album, when it was released. I always thought Paul Young did just as good a job as vocalist as Paul Carrack. Their debut album was excellent, filled with a lot of great B-Side songs.
I love Paul C but Paul Young's voice was a powerhouse. And I thought he had a little more "attitude" than Carrack. What a great lineup that was.
Miss that guy so much. RIP Paul Young.

First time to see and hear this song. With Trump as POTUS the lyrics still very much apply to today’s politics.
The lyrics very strongly apply to the two party dichotomy that’s tearing American apart these days. It started getting very nasty under Bush Jr. and Obama and now it’s even worse under Trump, and I think it’s going to get even worse during next year’s election campaign no matter who wins. When I argue politics these days, I intentionally do so in a non-partisan manner; otherwise most people will start off with an awful bias that’s very hard to overcome.
