I always think of this song as being about gender preference or the struggle of finding ones sexual orientation.
Perhaps a "one foot boy" is a lover that is only half in his life. "I'm too scared to look away/ comes here almost every day/ but every day I push him off and tell him boy we're over."
"Empty loving makes me seasick" perhaps meaning that he doesn't want to love someone if it's not truly what he prefers? "All these colors that surround me/ all these faces only drown me" <--pressure?

It could be a boy with one foot, which would mean that he is unstable.
