I remember being disappointed in the album as a whole but I have to admit there's some good songs like this. Until It Sleeps is one of the best Metallica has ever done.

This so reminds me of Alice In Chains. A lot like Layne Staley's vocals and the background vocals from Jerry Cantrell. Kinda like man in the box with a little bit of what the hell I with get born again in the backing vocals. They definitely listened to a lot of Alice when making this album.

Last album that metallica was good. When i was in higschool i wrote a paper to my teacher explaining this song. She never wrote a remark about it. She was probably too disturbed to make a comment of how a 16 year old kid could write a page about his own well being reflected with this song.

The intro just screams: " We wanna sound like a Seattle band". Another Alice in Chains style diddy. Load keeps sucking throughout the ages.

I bought the load album the first day it came out in 1996. Initially I was negatively surprised that it was even slower that the black album. But those melodies were phenomenon....both load & reload.

Truth be told I find more melody on Kill Em all than the Load albums which sound like uninspered monotonous and boring jamming. BTW I love Corrosion of Conformity.

I also love kill em all and ride the lighting and my favourite is... and justice for all by far...The jamming part, was whole concept of load and reload. A small break after 1,5years in the studio from the black album.
To me load/reload were very mature and unusual albums.I wish they continued that way. I miss the melody now, melody which I didn't find in St Anger, Death Magnetic, And Hardwired as a whole. (The unnamed feeling, The day that never comes & Halo on fire are of course excluded)
