This song is very awesome! Ray Charles and Merle Haggard definitely had voices that mix together well! I purchased the CD this song was on from Camelot Music and the very first time I listened to it I fell in love with this song.
On of my favorite albums as a teen. This is how I learned about Ray Charles, fore I already knew Merle and the rest of the people on this album.
This track was recorded back in the 80's. The vocals are just sublime, and the beautiful atmospheric steel guitar in the background is from the incomparable Buddy Emmons.
