Matty put his heart into this record

I do not care if people BS me on this but I for one am liking they direction they are taking this because they are actually focusing on the lyrics rather than the sound itself. Do not get me wrong, I love their heavier stuff. But the band is getting older and the lead singer's vocals can't handle that type of singing forever.

I can agree with that, they want to reach more people and expand the fan base so they are probably going to make more songs mainstream. But I still think they should include the heavy tracks on the same albums as the mainstream songs. That way the older fans don’t lose anything. Not saying I personally care about that part. But we all love the sleepwalking album and hollow album haha. So a mixture between broken and hollow would be fantastic

I had no idea they had a new album coming out... they really must be falling off, a few year ago a new MMF album would be the most anticipated metalcore album of the year. But who’s really bothered about this though?! The new stuff is trash, and I guarantee it’ll flop. At least we have The Sinner and Challenger to remind us of the glory days when they were actually good.

Not the actual Memphis May fire. They're literally the most non innovative bands of all time but I still like some of their songs and this album is really cold as fuck. Didn't like it much. Most of their songs have the same drumming and guitars bores the crap out of me.

Guys, stop complaining. Bands change and it doesn't mean they become bad, it's the opposite, if they didn't change through years and stayed always the same, there would be no progress and that's a real problem. MMF still cool.

You'd be surprised. Apart from metalcore/post-hardcore, most of what I listen to is death metal, where bands typically go years or decades while staying true to their genre and having relatively successful careers continuing the build their fanbase over time. Musical change can be good, but that doesn't mean lack of musical change is bad. Take care.

@KenBoi It's the same thing. If I complain about a band changing, it doesn't mean their music is bad; if I like to listen bands which stay always the same, it doesn't mean their music is good nor the best.

I met Anthony at a show in ATL. He was the coolest guy in a band I'd ever met. I wanted autographs so he quite literally took the shirt off my back, took it on the bus and had all the members sign it. Coolest moment ever. This band will forever hold a place in my heart but I sure miss the sleepwalking, hollow days. That was fucking Memphis!

I love their new sound, yes i love their screams and stuff, but damn, they are allowed to change their sound and not have people hate it. I will be listening to this album alot because i love it. I understand some people like heavier music, but these guys are getting up in age. Maybe screaming is starting to hurt Matty's voice. You never know. Let them be. Enjoy their new sound or leave

I actually like this album. Mullins actually put all of his passion into it. The least we can do is look past the fact that IT IS NOT metalcore and appreciate the nrw direction the band is taking.

I was disappointed as well with the new bullet album. I like variety of rhythms not the same 4 or 5 rhythms. I can understand how hard the creative process is myself cause I am a guitarist but even still they are known for how creative they can be.
