He sees our pain and turns it into laughter and sees our sins and struggles but breaks the chains that kept us in bondage for so, so long.

" Man must not cover his head since he is the image and the glory of God , while woman is the glory of man " , 1st Corinthians 11verse 7.
" Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered brings shame on his head ( head = Jesus Christ )" , 1st Corinthians 11verse 4.

" Every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered ( with a Veil )brings shame on her head ( head = man )" , 1st Corinthians 11verse 5.

" So , this is why a woman should have a symbol of authority ( a veil ) on her head BECAUSE OF ANGELS ", 1st Corinthians 11 verse 10 .

May God bless you and help you to be more humble, more obedient to his word through Apostle Paul's teaching found in 1st Corinthians 11 verses 2 to 16 , so that you can be sure to give God a pleasant worship .

As a Greek I have never heard of this word "periboliaon" neither I can find a version in both the English language and the Greek, that translates the scripture the way you said. In English the word "cover" is used and in Greek the word "κάλυμμα" which has exactly the same meaning. The verse 14 says "Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?" *So it basically says it's a shame for men to have long hair.* In the verse 15 it says : "But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering." *So here it basically says that it's a glory for women having long hair because that's how they intended to be by their nature.* Then it follows up " for her hair is given to her for covering " It clearly says her long hair is given to her by God, for covering. I really don't understand what version of the Bible you are reading

@A B , in 1st Corinthians 11 verse 5 Apostle Paul was talking about a veil as christian woman's head ( hair ) covering since he used the greek verb "katakalupto" which means something that covers something in order to hide it , that's to say a veil ; indeed a veil can covers and hide woman's long hair .

There would be contradiction between the verses 5 and 15 of 1st Corinthians 11 if in the verse 15 Apostle Paul meant christian woman's long hair was her cover when praying and prophesying, in short when she is in the presence of God.

@EXODUS 20 VERSES 2 - 17. On verse 13 the word "ακάλυπτο" is used which comes from the word "Κάλυμμα" aka cover. "Ακάλυπτο" means uncovered, something that is not covered. The meaning is clear. He wouldn't have used this same word for both verses if he wanted us to understand a different cover of the cover women already have which are the long hair. It just implies it's a shame for women to pray to God without a Cover ( aka with short hair). Then follows up with it's a glory for men to have short hair and women to have long hair. So surely talks about hair and not an actual cover on top of her hair.

So God had a reason to give long hair to women, otherwise why not give her short hair like men. The reason is that long hair is a cover to womans head. Therefore since long hair is a cover, if a woman has long hair, it means she doesn't need a veil because she already has a cover given by God which are her long hair. If God would want women to have to buy or create a veil on the hair from the start of the creation he would have given Eve a veil to wear on her head. But instead Eve had not a veil but only her long hair. Which means God intended women to be just like the first created woman who is Eve. I don't think God would change his mind and start demanding women to wear a different cover on top of their already given cover.

If Christian woman's hair is her cover , therefore in the verse above "if a woman doesn't cover her head" means "if a woman doesn't have hair on her head" , right ! therefore 1st Corinthians 11 : 6 becomes this : For if a woman doesn't have hair on her head she might as well have her hair cut off ; . . . " ; 1st Cor.11 : 6 doesn't make sense anymore , right !

While if veil is christian woman's cover , "if a woman doesn't cover her head" means "if a woman doesn't have a veil on her head" ; note that 1st Cor.11 : 6 keeps making sense : "For if a woman doesn't have a veil on her head , she might as well have her hair cut off ; . . . "

So , is inaccurate any translation of Apostle Paul greek text corresponding to 1st Corinthians 11 : 15 that states christian woman's long hair is her cover or covering . Woman's long hair is an ornament , or an ornamentation according to the accurate translation found in André Chouraqui Bible Version states.
