McCartney, Paul - Dominoes Lyrics

In time we'll know, it's all a show
It's been a blast
As time goes by, we'll laugh and cry
It's in the past

We can start to begin
Living in the world we're in

From day to day, we'll fight and play
For what we need
We'll soon forget, we ever met
And disagreed

We can start to begin
Living in the world we're in
This is it, here and now
We can find our way
Somehow

And lines of dominoes are falling
Into place ignoring everything in their way
And all the telephones are calling
Constantly imploring us to come out and play

And soon we'll see, that you and me
We're really friends
We broke the code, and walked the road
That never ends

We can start to begin
Living in the world we're in
This is it, here and now
We can find our way
Somehow

And lines of dominoes are falling
Into place ignoring everything in their way
And all the telephones keep calling
Constantly imploring us to come out and play
Hey hey, hey hey

We'll take our turn, and try to learn
To sing and dance
We'll hedge our bets, with no regrets
And take a chance

We can start to begin
Living in the world we're in
This is it, here and now
We can find our way
Somehow

And lines of dominoes are falling
Into place ignoring everything in their way
And all the telephones keep calling
Constantly imploring us to come out and play
Hey hey, hey hey

In time we'll know, it's all a show
It's been a blast

This is the worst song in the world. Shazamed it just so I could come on here and post some hate. Fucken devastating that Paul made it.

  39. 1.... T....

This song is one of the best modern McCartney songs hands down!!

  48. t.... ....

So many always bring up the Beatles, I like Paul McCartney music, doesn't have anything to do with the Beatles, this man is excellent all by himself! Forget the Beatles, give McCartney's music the credit it deserves on it's own merits!

  49. P.... I....

Bella canción de Sir Paul, creo que es la mejor del disco Egipt Station.
Aquí oyéndola desde la Ciudad de México,
    ¿Algún otro hispanohablante la escucha?

  50. L.... C....

    💝 this.

  51. L.... o....

What a jewelry! Remembers me of REM...

  52. t.... ....

    Best McCartney song in years

  53. .... ....

God his voice had never changed 😢😭😍😍❣️❣️ Love you Paul:)

  54. P.... W....

76 years old and he still brings stuff like this to the table. I find it pretty cool that despite all the albums he's put out post-Beatles since 1970 he's come full circle back to his Beatlesque pop-perfection with a track like this.

  55. B.... K....

Best track on the album. Sounds like it has been kissed by Jeff Lynne

  56. B.... S....

    Great song.

  57. L.... C....

Thank you for the new music, Paul. 💝

  58. N.... N....

    thank you.

  59. A.... ....

A cada dia melhor! Love Paul!

  60. J.... S....

I bought my first Beatle record when I was 8 years old, & have everything they ever put out. Vinyl, cd's remastered cd's , & all their solo stuff. Just turned 64, & still have Beatlemania. Sir Paul amazed me with this album. It's classic.

  61. J.... E....

    Great tune !!

  62. A.... L....

In Rolling Stone's Top 25 of 2018. (No.15) Deservedly so. Good one Macca.

  64. j.... l....

Easily one of The best songs of his life. Fresh and pure sound. Every part surprise you but fits, the change between first and Second verse its unexpected and beautiful. A really good track.

  65. T.... L....

    Excellent song

  66. f.... ....

I also think, like others here, it´s the best song on "Egypt Station". As long as Paul makes Music, the story of the Beatles is not finished at all. Wonderful, the soundtrack of my life is still alive!

  67. m.... ....

Walking the road that never ends, see you next time...

  69. S.... b....

Another instant Paul classic. (Syd Barrett also had a song called Dominoes - another music hero of mine!)

  70. A.... H....

Hi Mcca I m algerian mcca.... love u

  71. G.... C....

    Me encanta!!!

  72. T.... ....

You would think a guy who's been writing songs for 60 years would have run out of good melodies. Nope.

  73. J.... V....

67 blind people thought the dislike was the like button. What a shame. Someone needs to tell them.

  74. J.... L....

Having heard it many times I think this, apparently simple song, is one the best he has ever written, beatles or not.

  75. F.... T....

Bien qu'encore jeune à l'aube de mes 50 ans,tu es toute ma jeunesse et c'est seulement la deuxième fois que je viendrai te voir dans précisément deux semaines:" we're happy with you PAUL ! And think you all and for your band!

  76. d.... e....

giving up the pot,and learning to live without the fog.

  77. p.... t....

    UNBELIEVABLE

  78. b.... ....

One of my favorite tracks from this great new album from Paul.

  79. d.... e....

Puff a few and lay back ...

  80. J.... O....

The sounds of " This One ". Flowers in the Dirt Album.

    J.... O....

right it sounds like my brave face the guitar part

  81. M.... D....

This music is a perfect dominoe

  82. R.... W....

This song soars. I think this ranks up there as one of the better songs he's ever written as a solo artist.

  83. M.... W....

    Is that Paul on drums?

  84. m.... m....

    Thanks again Paul ❤💛

  85. F.... I....

This is iconic Paul. It feels like a favorite snuggly sweater.

  86. R.... L....

This song should have way more views than it has

  87. J.... T....

Sounds like it could have been written in India in 1968 - Shades of Donovan and Dear Prudence. So incredibly good!

  88. T.... ....

    listen to 4:23 ........ , majestic

  89. C.... N....

This isn't 'Wings over America'..but a lot cooler than his last few..Wasn't expecting something this cool and fun...!

  90. n.... ....

Jeez ... the BASS on this!

  91. K.... J....

My favorite on my current favorite album. Well done Paul and your incredible band!

  92. K.... K....

    Fuck Trump...vote blue

  93. K.... K....

He’s the best and always will be

  94. c.... r....

So reminiscent of a younger Paul and Beatles. I love this song, it touches my heart. Dear Paul I wish people could live forever.

  95. J.... B....

Reminds me a lot of chaos and creation

  96. k.... ....

great song but we needed another 5 minutes of that with a gospel choir lead and a sitar at base

  97. P.... ....

    Pizza advertising

    P.... ....

I doubt he knows about this! Lyric wise it's all anti-pizza, so were all the albums of the Beatles or solo!
