Mathis, Johnny - Danny Boy Lyrics

Oh, Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen and down the mountain side
The summer's gone and all the roses falling
It's you, it's you must go and I must bide

But come ye back, when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
It's I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh, Danny Boy, oh, Danny Boy, I love you so

And I shall hear though soft you tread above me
And all my grave will warmer, sweeter be
For you will bend and tell me that you love me
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me

This and Bing Crosby are my two favorite versions of this song as solos...and the Irish Tenors round out my top three! Song Perfection!

Johnny is a wonderful singer we all know that. However, this version as much as he is amazing - Is not my favorite version - For me TOO MUCH PAUSE between notes. What a powerful singer - the version is the issue - NOT HIS SINGING!

Then you have a problem with Allyn Ferguson. The arrangement may not be your favorite, but you are free to express your opinion here, and also to post your favorite on your channel.
