Saw these guys at the Launchpad back in 2014. Absolute time of my life, I wore a blue mask and even got to meet them and get a picture

Oh no! I just bought tickets to see The Interrupters and this band is opening up for them! FUCK!!! I hate when I have to suffer shitty noises from untalented people/bands like this to get to the band I really want to see. Damnit! Guess I'll hang outside while this shit is being played; no need to give myself a headache with this emo-tainted noise before I enjoy The Interrupters.

I was listening to the Decendants a sec ago. This pop punk is pretty ok. I'm a huge MxPx fan. This band brings me back. I call this genre DOOWHOP PUNK. Misfits are doowhop. Bottlerocket the Lillingtons mannnnn. I come from punk ska emo u name it. This group gets buried with me. Thanks guys for making it so much extra.

I hear there's a lot of hate for these guys. I don't see why. I mean they sound good. I guess it's just personal preference. but I don't think they need hate. just don't listen to them

I love what a lot of people now refer to as "power-punk". It's very distinct from harder punk in that it's much more pleasing to the ears. These bands can actually SING instead of simply screaming at you.

I love the way they're instruments come together, they are the sickest band around!

Then, of course, Blue's lead vocals/green and yellow's harmonies put the fucking cherry on top.

Possibly my favorite band ever. I'm from Madison, so I may be biased, but I love these guys, and this album is a masterpiece.

Well that's cool, I'm not disagreeing things were better back when there were true local scenes to support, I just think it's unfair to shit on an entire era of music because of that. The early-mid 90's were great for punk, there'll always be good music around, but it's prevalence is another matter all together. I think it was more the late 90's or maybe early 2000's when you had to really search hard for anything that isn't just a rehash of the 70's scene.

NOFX have a song all about that actually, 'medio-core' they put out on the war on errorism record back in like 2003.

I think by the early 90's anything worth a shit was over. It all collapsed upon itself as if on cue in late 1991. There literally was no underground after that. And I say that as a person who observed it happening.

Funny in that ironically-fucked-up-sort-of-way where it shows that the guy talking all that lovey dovey shit, as described in some pop-punk songs, is the one you should run as far the fuck away from as possible! 

TRIGGER WARNING: Rant about domestic abuse.

If they seem a little "too sweet", give you a gut feeling in the back of your mind "there's something wrong here", listen to that gut feeling! Because you're probably right. It's not second guessing what "could be" a good relationship and you're not "missing out". You're skipping out on being in an abusive relationship with some "nice guy" who is "really sweet"...and this one is a direct quote from someone I used to know in an abusive relationship "He's a really sweet guy. Except when he's not." 

Stalking is creepy, it's not cool, and it's illegal for a reason. Save yourself the trouble and get the fuck out because it will only get worse if the first and second songs rang true for you. Believe me, it never "goes back to the way things were", and no matter what major problems or fucked up situation a close friend or partner is in, it's not your responsibility nor is it possible for you to "fix them". Only help someone if doing so does not end in you yourself getting hurt. You need to take care of yourself first! That might sound selfish, but it's not. It's self-preservation. Staying alive. Depression sucks. Having to be in therapy sucks. Hospitalizations suck. GET OUT! NOW! Before it's too late and he/she/they are trying to control you, threatening you if you don't do what they want, and using your love for them as a weapon against you. Abuse isn't only physical, it can be verbal as well. And honestly, as someone who's been bullied, I can say words can cut deeper than any blade. In the long run, physical damage, to a degree, heals better than psychological damage/trauma. Abusers aren't stupid. They know what will get them locked up, so they make sure they hurt the victim to the point at which they submit but not to the point that they can go to the police with evidence. 

Also, our legal system is broken with 98% or so of sexual offenders not facing any legal repercussions and walking even after rape charges...and that is out of the small amount that is reported. The police often handle it the wrong way and start blaming the victim. I know if you found this video, you probably already know that. Just felt it was important enough to say. If something pisses me the fuck off (like domestic abuse), you'll fucking hear about it.

Good pop punk. This is why I love this genre.

Liked these guys a lot after I saw them open for Less than Jake. Very different live than on the album. I think the album might sound a little too clean

Well, listened to it twice on a quiet road trip.. Fuck, I just can't get into these guys. I know, unpopular opinion..   I just get the fealing this is just all too trendy.

Ton of people don't seem to get Masked Intruder is parodying pop-punk and its kind of fucked-up ideas about women (that creepy behavior will win them over, that they owe their affections to anyone who's nice enough, etc.) These aren't "love" songs. They're songs about maladjusted young men who romanticize creepster shit like stalking. There's a reason the album ends with the singer being sent to jail.

I saw these guys live at a Teenage Bottlerocket and Queers show once. They weren't as bad as I thought they would be live from what I'd heard from them online, but I just can't get into the singer's voice. I dunno, it's like Ramonescore, but with New Found Glory/Simple Plan-type vocals. Eh, just not my thing I guess, but to each their own.

If you hate on them, you just don't get it. This isn't supposed to be some hardcore street-anarcho-crust-whatever-punk. It is meant to be fun and easy listening with a hint of irony. And boy are their live shows awesome with every single song being played almost twice as fast. A must see band, if you ever have the opportunity
