Marty Robbins - Eyes Lyrics

She always laughs the loudest
And she seems so satisfied
She's the centre of attraction
To all the world outside
You can see the anguish and
The hurt she tries to hide
For she reveals her tortured soul
When you look into her eyes

But she's not livin', she's existin'
But she'll keep searchin'
And someday she will find
Eyes just as restless, just as restless
And she might find these
Two restless eyes of mine

Her eyes are full of questions
And her heart is filled with regret
Eyes so full of longing and
So little happiness
Her eyes reflect a sadness
That her laughter can't disguise
There's pain beyond description
When you look into her eyes

But she's not livin', she's existin'
But she'll keep searchin'
And someday she will find
Eyes just as restless, just as restless
And she might find these
Two restless eyes of mine

Well, Traquin 45, you have done it again. I do not remember this song. I thought I knew all of Marty's songs. His songs have been my favorites since the 50's when I was a teenager. There is no one else like Marty. Never will be. He was the best ever.

    C.... L....

Amen. Better than McCartney, Lennon or Dylan.

Deborah, Marty did not co-write that much. Are there other songs he co-wrote? Marty said in a late interview that there are many song that he wrote but did not record. Will we ever get to hear some of those unrecorded songs?
