Marshall Tucker Band, The - Life In A Song Lyrics
What makes two people together from the start
In love with the life of their own
Choose to live their lives in the
Songs that they sing and always bein’ alone
Livin’ their life in a song
She leaves her man free to roam
With sweet understanding she lives with his ways
Livin’ her life in a song
Livin’ her life in a song
Think of a woman left lonely
Think of a woman so strong
With love as her guide she stands by my side
Livin’ her life in a song
Livin’ her life in a song
Well, I’m writin’ this song
Misty morning somewhere by the sea
I’m tellin’ you true her love brought me through
Her love’s the thing that set me free
Her love’s the thing that set me free
Think of a woman left lonely
Think of a woman so strong
With love as her guide she stands by my side
Livin’ her life in a song
Livin’ her life in a song

I upToyed your comment.
Best band ever!
This is my favorite cut from that album.
Carolina Dreams is a Marshall Tucker masterpiece that I've enjoyed playing it since 1977.
This whole album is incredible!!!!
Yes Ma'am it most certainly is incredible....
@ogrebattle22763 Well are you not handsome!
Cindy Lee especially this ole cowboy
yes it is cindy...I loved "heard it in a love song" so I bought the cassette...and u kno how if u buy an album for just one or two songs, sometimes the rest of it is just so-so...well after listening to it a few times, this one isn't that way! I like the whole thing...very few albums are that way...these guys were great
thanks for posting
This song just KILLS. And it was written by Doug Gray and Jerry Eubanks. Toy's guitar leads are nothing short of inspired, like all other things about the song.
Caldwell a truly exceptional talent that never got the recognition he deserved. RIP, bother.
Recognition doesn't mean respect - and love, Rip Toy,
Carolina Dreams is one of my favorite albums of the 70s. Thanks so much for uploading. I've never managed to pick up a copy on CD, and I haven't had a cassette player in a decade. Or a record player, for that matter. :)
