this was on the AS demo's but it should of been on the portrait album. the original version they were doing live in the early 90s before they were signed at all. daisy said he wanted this on the album, but honestly imo it doesnt fit the theme of the album and was better left off. and after daisy left he won the rights to this song in court. so this was only put out by daisy. all that great music daisy made, manson tried to countersue him for artwork of the spooky kids album daisy put out which then caused alot of conflict. that was mansons way of being a dickhead and trying to erase his history and move forward to box everyone out and work alone. but th reality is mansons best work was with daisy, and even twiggy on AS. zim zum did good but it was alot different. then everything after that wasnt my cup of tea and not interesting to me at all. it was like ditching his entire fanbase to create a newer one that i had nothing in common with

Honestly if this, and D is for Dirty made it onto Remix and Repent as bonus content, it would’ve been a better, more commercially successful EP.

Anastasia Jayne It was written earlier in their career. I think they wrote new lyrics for it when they considered it for Antichrist.

best manson song ever and let me tell you im a very long time fan trent interscope what did you do to this band

trent took a great band and fucked it to death with his own ideals and experimentation. Daisy didn't get kicked out as some claim, He left because trent treated everyone like shit and smashed Daisy's Fender Jaguar which Daisys father had bought him, along with most of his gear. Even MM was fucking fed up with trent by the end of the recording of AS. Ad also, the bands own inner fighting, the fact that Twiggy and daisy were not getting along because at times twiggy can be an asshole, it made everything a fucking disaster. In the end all of this is why the "Real" MM died, Brian took the left over pieces and created essentially his own solo project, which is what we have now. Lastly, My own personal opinion is trent is a piece of shit, he is also an egomaniac hell bent on destruction. I don't really like NIN, maybe 2 songs at the most and that is talking an entire catalog of music from his band. Marilyn Manson "(The Band)" was destroyed by trent, as well as the band's own inner demons, so honestly all the blame can not souly fall upon trent, but, he was a major factor for how things turned out in the end.

this makes me happy. remember 180 Minutes of Nothing? Trent rubbed me the wrong way when he said he found a band and he made the "edges rougher, pointier". Marilyn Manson as been sitting in Brians head like a school shooting, it was going to happen, one way or another. it was bigger than Trent. Maybe Trent wanted his own lil boy band and this was too much for him. He wasnt ready!!

I like this song, i wish they would have released it on a special edition CD or something. My favorite album is Portrait, Antichrist Superstar is a good album but i have a hard time listening to it getting older. Things got weird with Mechanical Animals and beyond. Not saying Mechanical Animals is bad there were some great songs on it. Honestly i wish he would ditch the Manson thing and try a different project and explore his talents. He is a great singer and has a big voice with some serious range.

ALL his albums are great, not a single one I dislike and I don't get why people listen to Manson and complain about his work. Afterall, I so aggree that Portrait has by FAAR the best guitar work than any other album !!

Marilyn Manson is awesome and all but he would never have gotten as big as he did without Daisy, and he doesn't seem to acknowledge that which really pisses me off.

CrematedChimera actually he wrote or co wrote about 60% of the songs. And he wrote the best ones like tourniquet and man that you fear.

I'm basing that off the Antichrist Superstar credits, which credit him for Irresponsible Hate Anthem, Tourniquet, Wormboy and The Man That You Fear. It doesn't credit him for the lyrics, but when he was asked what the favourite song he had written was, he said it was The Man That You Fear. It's possible that Manson gave him less credit than what he deserved, since he treated Daisy and other band members so badly and was actively trying to force him out of the band.

Daisy never gelled, man. Never. But he had a sound however, it was shoeboxed. Also, he wasnt about all the drugs and experimention. Manson had a story in his head and he needed a Drug Buddy and artistic musician who also pushes limits to help create the womb (the atmoshere) and give this god damned little worm a place to live.
