As I approach the age of 70, I begin to be thankful for all I lived through. There were times I thought I couldn't continue, but, after a storm of doubt, a rainbow would appear.  I made mistakes, but an inner voice told me to continue in hope and faith.

I'm a shadowman at the moment 👤 and one day maybe I'll make it through the rain and darkness that is shadowing me and be able to live instead of existing in this lonely world that I rome. The sun doesn't shine in my world anymore since I became ill and my beautiful yasmin walked away due to my medics misdiagnosing me and me being so unwell. It really is soul destroying when you build your world around the woman of your dreams and love her unconditionally only to find that when you become ill and need her more than ever only to find that she didn't really love you and then leaves you all alone only to sit with your head in your hands fearful of the unknown. I wouldn't wish anyone to feel what I'm going through. even though she has left me. She will always Dance in my heart and walk in my soul and I will always and forever love her forever and a day. And I'm truly sorry yasmin for being ill. I wish you health and happiness and thank you for 10 year's and 9 month's of happiness that I will hold in my broken heart 💔 f♡rever my jaan x x

I am 68 years old and I survived a life dominated by mental illness.

As a kid in the 70s his music helped me deal with a series of abuses. In the 80s his music gave me hope that life could be better. And finally when life was something I enjoyed I understood what he was saying about making it through the rain. He will never know how much he helped me but I will never forget.

Let's hope whalley bridge can make it through the rain.

I remember my beautiful mother dancing with me to this song. She was so young and worked so hard. I thought we were invincible, together. Sorry to see dementia slowly take her. I can't really believe it, actually. Here's to you, Mom. You will always be that young mother twirling me around.

I made it through my rain by signing myself out of Rockland Psychiatric Center in 2013. The staff didn't want me to leave, but I found within me the strength to sign myself out against medical advise. Because I signed myself out, I have a happy life away from that horrible institution.

When I was a child I was institutionalized and put in a home and school for the disturbed.And this song helped me stay alive and not kill myself.Thank you Barry.

Have 4 incurable medical conditions but would like to have a real social life an fun before I break on through to the other side. Spent Thanksgiving totally alone but it was far from the first holiday..I try to block them from my mind.. Hell of a price to pay for my recovery

In the last year I have battled and beat stage 3 cancer and lost my husband of 17 years to congestive heart failure.
A very good friend sent me this song. He said it made him think of me.
I am now cancer free and working as a social worker with cancer patients.
What doesn’t kill you definitely makes you stronger!
