Manhattan Transfer, The - Walk In Love Lyrics

Walk in love
A sandy beach, we're barefoot
We walk in love
A time and place so sacred
Only love will see the magic we can be

We came, we saw, we fell in love
Two birds as one above
No need to conquer love

We came, we saw, we fell in love
Two birds as one above
No need to conquer love

Talking hands
We walk in silence but we have talking hands
They speak of feelings like our words could never do
My love, I shine for you

We came, we saw, we fell in love
Two birds as one above
No need to conquer love

We came, we saw, we fell in love
Two birds as one above
No need to conquer love

Laugh to laugh
We take our clothes off
Moonlit to love (to love)
Ooh, to love (ooh, to love)
We spread the blanket, lie down rising with the waves
And falling like a star

We came, we saw, we fell in love
Two birds as one above
No need to conquer love

We came, we saw, we fell in love
Two birds as one above
No need to conquer love

Great pictures there. This record is on my shortlist of other wonderfully moving and lyrically melodic songs of the mid-to-late 70's; a decade when performers became very professional and reached the peak of their art before the new age of panjandrum recording executives heading-up the crass money-making machines of the mid-80's with plastic production values started to run roughshod over quality like this fine song arrangement, peddling utter poop for the feckless and pusillanimous teen-market.

The more I hear this, the more I love it. Please God bring back melodic, well orchestrated music like this, not the harmony devoid rubbish that the brainwashed masses think is clever.
