Ein traumhafter Titel aus dem Jahr 1976 der damals wie heute für mich seither eine tiefe mystische lyrische Bedeutung hat. Spiegelt er doch nahezu 1:1 mein eigenes Ich wieder.
Seither zerbrach ich mir oft den Kopf darüber, was wohl der Mann sich bei der weit umschweifenden Bedeutung selbst gedacht haben mag als er diesen Titel schrieb.
Ohne eine wörtliche Übersetzung vorwegzunehmen würde der Inhalt meiner Einschätzung demnach folgende Bedeutung haben:

BEDEUTUNG (NACH PETER SOHR)

In einem Traum, so stellte ich mir vor, ging ich zu Jenen, welche mir meine Fragen beantworten sollten die sich gestellt haben wenn man tiefgründiger nach Erkenntnissen sucht.
Diese Fragen wurden dann mit Antworten beantwortet, die Rätsel aufgaben.
Sie wurden also mit weiteren Fragen beantworteten, die ich kaum verstand
und damit weitere Fragen aufwarfen.

Je mehr ich fragte, desto undurchsichtiger wurden die Informationen und stellten nur einen scheinbar schönes heiles Licht der Wirklichkeit und der Erkenntnis dar.

Geblendet von den vielen Erkenntnissen die mein Innerstes tief berührten und an meinem Verstand zerrten, ließen mich mitunter an mich selber zweifeln.
Ich wurde unsicher und grübelte über den Sinn, das alles wirklich ganz genau wissen zu wollen.

Die Antworten die ich mit der Erlangung von Erkenntnissen erhoffte zu bekommen, warfen immer nur wieder neue Fragen auf.
Ich drehte mich mit dem erreichten Wissen im Kreis und ließ mich von den an mir gegebenen Antworten blenden, ahnend, das es die falschen Informationen waren.
Auf bohrende Fragen kamen dann immer mehr nur ausweichende Antworten und ich kam zu keinem mich befriedigenden Ergebnissen.
Mir blieb also nichts weiter übrig, selbst die Fragen die mich bewegten mittels eigenem Denken zu beantworten.

Die die mir meine Fragen beantworten sollten waren sich einig, mich mit deren Antworten hinter das Licht führen zu wollen und ließen mich einfach stehen.
Die die mir helfen sollten, auch die aus meiner nächsten Nähe ließen mich allein mit meinen Fragen um herauszufinden, welcher Weg richtig sei.

Questions was least favorite song for me but then I loved. One of the underrated ballads.

The roaring silence

Not crazy about this album at all Blinded By The Light is a great tune although overplayed this album for me has one gem song. Questions is a great tune, The Roaring Silence marks the arrival of new frontman Chris Thompson he has a great voice and very fitting for slower songs. The next Earth Band album had another great catchy tune called  California. If you like Questions check that one out.
