Magnum - Heartbroke And Busted Lyrics

Yeah, you'll be all right when love comes around

What you going to do on your own?
Even wonder should you ever go home
Here come those feelings, can't be right
You think nobody's going to miss you tonight

Mistrusted
Heartbroke and busted
So where's the justice?

Going to be all right when love comes around
No hurricane wind blowing could slow you down
Yeah, you'll be all right when love comes around
It's going to come 'round, ooh, baby

You say that you've never known
The kind of love that gets down deep in your soul
You're still reeling from the fight
You wouldn't know it if it hit you tonight

Mistrusted
Heartbroke and busted
So where's the justice?

Going to be all right when love comes around
No hurricane wind blowing could slow you down
Yeah, you'll be all right when love comes around

And I will never know the questions you're asking
I know nothing at all
How can you stand upon the judgement you're passing
When you don't even know the cause?

Mistrusted
Heartbroke and busted
So where's the justice?

Going to be all right when love comes around
No hurricane wind blowing could slow you down
Yeah, you'll be all right when love comes around

Yeah, you'll be all right
Everybody say
Yeah, you'll be all right
Yeah, you'll be all right

Magnum and Blur on the same playlist... Jesus! Magnum are the type of band that if you wore one of their T-shirts you'd get the shit kicked outta ya. X

  3. A.... H....

Well, kick to kill Magnum - here's one for ya!

God, I just adore that perfect, measured drumbeat, as flawless as a fucken metronome and as unstoppable as a runaway train. This version slightly slower than the original on the album, and it's still a masterpiece. Just another masterpiece. Just another Magnum track. Just another perfect, briliant, instant Magnum classic that should be on the radio every single day, like Don't Fear The Reaper, and More Than a Feeling. 20 fabulous studio albums, hundreds of British and European tours over 50 years, countless compilation and live albums AND 6 killer solo albums from Bob Catley too !! What the fuck have these poor hard-working bastards actually got to do, to get a decent management company which will break open America and make them the biggest, richest, most talented, most hard-working, most celebrated band in the history of rock - as they should have been 40 fucken years ago ?

    Thank God for Magnum.

If I see what has become of a once interesting band like Whitesnake, I really don't mind Magnum didn't make it in the States. That probably would have meant the band went too far with compromising between European and US tastes. Real sparkling coke versus cherry coke, you know, or normal potatoos versus sweet potatoes :) Whitesnake made millions, by becoming a completely ridiculous band, led by a suntanned wrinkeld singer who still thinks he's 20, and sings like someone put a clothespeg in his.... huh... there where it hurts most :) I guess that frustration however led Magnum to songs like "Only in America" ? What was the "previously unreleaserd track" on this EP ?

Love this song. Goodnight LA was a very underrated record.

Magnum is amazing. I got into them after Tobias Sammet (lead singer/mastermind of Avantasia and Edguy) had Bob Catley participate in his "Avantasia" projects; Bob is one of the reasons why Sammet became a singer in the first place. And first Magnum songs I heard were On a Storyteller's Night and this one - unbelievable how grossly underrated Catley, Clarkin & Co. are!

  11. M.... ....

That would make sense seeing as though they were their support act on def leppards On through the night tour

I would like to thank you all for watching this video. This is also my favorite Magnum song. If there was ever a way I could get the band to become popular in the states I would, but as it is I won't even ever have a chance to see them live.

  13. C.... M....

Another amazing band that is so under rated when it comes to the hard rock scene of the 1980s.

    My favorite Magnum's song :)

  16. m.... ....

@MAGNUM2F You're quite welcome. I couldn't allow this song to not be on here.

  17. a.... ....

@MAGNUM2F As the story goes, Magnum basically wrote Goodnight L.A. as a final attempt to appease U.S. record execs, but it didn't even get one single. It was barely released over there. Funny thing is, as palm-offs go, it was still a very good album! Like I said in another comment, I honestly don't think any British band has a God-given right to be big Stateside, but I really cannot see where the money men thought these guys went wrong. A cross between Def Leppard and Kansas? A winner, surely!

  18. M.... ....

@azapro911 agreed. can you remember way back when 'Kingdom' LP was released? it was also done as a 'king cover' especially for the US market. This (GOODNIGHT LA ) cd was released with america in mind, 3 singles were planned, rocking chair, this and a 3rd( no way out ). the 3rd was never released as this one did poorely...

  19. M.... ....

thanks for posting....this is a great song....

@madtv43 I think they're nicknamed FMUK in the States, because of the Canadian band that is also called FM, who are better known over there. Again, I'm quite biased, but on their day FM were unbelieveably good. I think Magnum only had one official release Stateside - but truth be told, they didn't catch on in the UK quite as much as they could/should have. It does seem to us Brits that many Americans like a lot of bands that US record execs won't promote for whatever strange reason. Baffling.

  21. m.... ....

@azapro911 I think they just need good promoters, Magnum is amazing and I'm sure that they could've caught on over here. Its really a shame that they haven't because I'll probably never get to see them in concert. Haven't heard of FM, but I'll definitely look them up.

  22. a.... ....

Now, I do have a very UK perspective on this one, but it does amaze me that back in the mid-80s to early-90s, two British AOR bands weren't embraced on a wide scale by US audiences - FM and Magnum (though we Brits also dissed FM very badly too). It wasn't like either band was "too British" (ie. Status Quo, 1970s Slade). They both had the sound and the look, they'd have fit on any hyper card with the likes of Bon Jovi - in fact, FM were tour support for them on the Slippery When Wet tour.

I agree with you about US and Magnum, Magnum should be played in the US they have great music. The video was good, the lyrics matched up well.
