Don't @ me, but Magna-Fi's softer songs like "This Life" and "Save Me" are better than ones like "Who I Am" and "All Hail Shadow". Of course they are good but I just like the style of the first two.

To me, this song represents giving into your darkest emotions, becoming the monster everyone sees you as, and getting revenge against the whole world by "wiping the slate clean."

I just discovered that these lost tracks for Shadow The Hedgehog exist. I know what I'm listening to from now on!

Can someone explain to me why there are two versions of this song? Both of them have completely different bridges, and I prefer the bridge of the other one. WaltTheHedgehog has a music video up with the preferred bridge and its the only version I've been able to find.

I think one is for the dark story and the other is for the hero story

As good a song this is, I honestly cannot see this being the main theme of Shadow. It feels a bit too upbeat, it would probably fit more as an ending theme than anything.

there was another song called broken by sins of a divice mother (sorry for my spelling) was gona (sorry for my spelling again) be the semi-hero theme but they couldn't contact wiles so there song was replace by A2 called chosen one. the band had another song called all of me was gona be I think the semi-dark theme but this song has been a lost track. magna fi had another song called all hail shadow is the hero theme.

I forgot magna fi broke up in 2010 and sins of a divice mother broke up in a unknow year (2 of the members of sins of a divice mother went to A2 and change there name to mona lisa overdrive

This theme seems like it would have been appropriate for the closing theme, because Shadow says "This is who I am" in all the endings. Never Turn Back is good, but this would have been so much better to tie all of Shadow together.

Fun fact, they didn't give Sega the right to use this song in Shadow The Hedgehog because they thought it was too good for them to use, because when someone gives Sega the right to use their song in a Sonic game, they get the rights to use it in any other games.

I can agree, but I don't think it fits the theme of Shadow trying to find out who he is. This song sounds like the singer is blaming the person they are talking to for making them the person they are. By contrast, I Am All of Me sounds like the singer is accepting that they are the person they made themselves to be.

Basically, Who I Am is a teenager blaming the world for their problems, and I am All of Me is an adult taking responsibility for their problems.

Yeah, the same thing happened to Broken and All Of Me by Sins of a Divine Mother, too. SEGA couldn't contact the bands to license out the songs fast enough, so they had to go with what they knew they could get. Plus, both bands still got a track in the game, albeit Sins getting theirs on a technicality. Magna-Fi got All Hail Shadow, and Sins TECHNICALLY got Chosen One, because two of their members are also part of A2/Mona Lisa Overdrive (same band, they just changed their name), who did that song.

Magna-Fi loved the song so much they didn't want to sell it. If it appeared in the game, it would be SEGA's song.

It's a shame how little attention Magna-Fi got before they disbanded. They're like a Foo Fighters, Bush, and Nirvana (all great alternative/grunge bands from the 90s) hybrid. But they got even less recognition than Veruca Salt (another great 90s band, check em out too). But I hear they all live as normal people now.

As much as thsi game had its flaws (GET TO THE CONTROL ROOM!) it gave depth to shadow, oh and had awesome music!
