my mom died when i was 5 from heroin then my dad got addicted and for the past year ive been with my grandmother and my dad is getting better

I wish I had found this sooner... This hit direct and hard, unfortunately I am on methadone.. My Dr prescribed it and I shoulda known that it wasn't the right choice because, it was the same dr that gave me the script that put me here. Oxycontin is hell on earth, I hear you when you say you were on the floor when you couldn't find any pills... sadly man some of us are worse than ill, if I couldn't get enough for the day then I would be puking, couldn't sleep literally at all... I was awake for 24 hours so I started doing Coke... it made for 1000x worse withdrawals.. even on the pills my legs would shake all night like I had electricity shooting through my veins.. The PAIN was the WORST of it ,.... I would take a washroom break from my 10hr a day Factory job .. I would go there and scream as loud as I could if no one was there.. I have never felt that much pain before in my life and it was everyday I didn't have any, just kept getting worse and worse and I knew I couldn't get clean without losing my job .. somehow I had it in my head that I could if I kept trying.. I watched my life flush down the drain.. Girlfriend of 6 years left when she found out, I had to do something and that's when I got fired unlawfully still couldn't get rehab but I got a chance to get clean and I took it and ran with it .. now I am coming off of methadone a year later .. this shit is driving me literally insane.. if you read this please listen to your instincts... Don't even try it once even if you "think" you can handle it... you haven't seen the dark side of life and you never should. I am not religious but this made me as close as I have ever got to believing, so all my prayers go out to you who are suffering, there is an end and it doesn't have to be your life.. please go ask for help, people won't ever look at you the same, I won't sugar coat it for you but it is worth it!

I just realized the other day that I haven’t touched a narcotic in 8 years. There’s an amazing power in using natural plants, exercise, emotions, and experiences to replace an addiction to drugs.
