Lynyrd Skynyrd - Cry For The Bad Man Lyrics
Well he walks so tall to be so small
Never met a man who's stranger
He lives his life for a dollar sign
And to deal with him is dangerous
He knocked me down but I'm on my feet
I'd rather quit and go back home
Than to deal with the money miser
Let's cry for this bad man
I sing a song for the bad man
Well, you treat me right baby, I'll treat you right
That's the way its supposed to be
I put my faith down in my friend
And he almost put an end to me
Well I work seven days a week
When you take money from me you take food from my mama's table
Let's cry for this bad man
I wrote a song for the bad man
Oh baby you know who you are
Let's cry for this bad man
I wrote a song for the bad man way down in Georgia
Well, you treat me right baby, I'll treat you right
That's the way its supposed to be
I put my faith down in my friend
And he almost put an end to me
Well, when you take my money baby when you hurt my family
I go walkin' through the swamps without no shoes
Step on a snake it scares you
Let's cry for this bad man
I wrote a song for the bad man
Oh let's cry for this bad man
I wrote a song for the bad man
Oh baby straight to you
He's so bad, so bad

Lynyrd Skynyrd Cry For The Bad Man Comments
Never seen anyone with the kind of natural composure Ronnie had on stage. He commanded your attention. What a bad ass.
True Rock right here Wooo!!!!!
The Honkettes were the cherries on top of this masterpiece. Love when they made a brief appearance.
Ronnie patrolling the stage
You are witnessing the greatest songwriter that ever shit tween a pair of shoes ,chirren...RVZ
Ronnie was feelimg it on this one.... you just cant match that charisma no more skynyrd after '77...
There is a moral lesson in every Skynyrd song. If you abide by the messages Skynyrd is preaching, then you will live a fruitful life
I knew the bad man he was kin to me n talk shit to me once n well I let him know people from Louisiana have bad men to then we really became kin
Old school rock is the definition of cool these punks these days don’t have a clue of what cool is
Is everyone listen to the blues it'd be a perfect world
Gary is the BAD man.. drive that guitar bo!
Gary Rossington is an awesome guitar player.
Can't imagine who owns the music industry...
Everything about this performance is awesome. Such badass guitar tone, lead and rhythm, especially the opening. Ronnie sounds great and the backup vocals are clear and clean. Kick ass rock.
I like all types of music but the three best frontmen of all time are Ronnie Van Zant Sammy Hagar and Steven Tyler
In a interview Ronnie said he was as sick as a dog at this show, fever of over a 100 but shows his dedication to his craft and said show must go on and have give fans what they expected, many musicians could take note of his pure devotion to his band, music and most of FANS! TUESDAY MAY BE GONE AND A FREE BIRD IS NO LONGER ON THE HUNT SEARCHING FOR A SOUTHERN SKY! #FLYHIGHFREEBIRD
One barefoot hippie bad motherfucker! Such a shame he died at around this time 42 years ago!😪😪😪 hard telling where they could be today!😪😪
artemus kills that drumset,every show.
Ronnie writing songs about jerks before Taylor Shift came along and made it a thing.
One of my favorite songs from Skynyrd.
Fucken Great...finally THE CLIP!
Well it's complete. My time machine is complete and operational. I'm going back to the 70's and all those epic shows. Then keep them from getting on that damn plane.... Who is with me?
This band died with ronnie van zant!
Lynyrd Skynyrd will Live Forever. 💖
@Landon Good Do not fool yourself this band did not have any charm after that day. All albums made after 1977, were made out of nostalgia and keeping the name of this band alive! Ronie van zant was everything to this band, along with the original members!
Thanks for sharing that kind of footage!!!! That was fukin awesome!!!!
Gary has that same problem I have flippin guitars lay too far to the right and I don't like strummin so far back to the right, its hard to dig in playing on my hip.. why I end up picking over the neck half the time, it sucks, I have to choke up on the strap and look like one of those mexican guys with those big guitars under their chins... lol
Ronnie wasn't a singer, he was a story teller...
I have seen the boys so many times .....before and after the crash........best fucking band ever!
A real rock brand
Ohh yeahh
That right hand strike and left hand vibrato is like hammer to iron and just vicious on that solo!
Thank you dad for getting me into skynyrd I'll pass it on .
You can definitely hear the influences from Free and Bad Company/Paul Rodgers/Kossoff in this and On the hunt song too. Ronnie and Gary were huge fans of them. While Allen's was Clapton/Cream. Ronnie named his boat Bad Company.
Unabashedly the best rock that ever lived...😢
Complex Dynamics
Written by Taylor Crain
I call this particular write as the title describes “Complex Dynamics” in ascertaining the motion and direction necessary in kissing my fucking ass! In part one, I will relay the complexities of social engineering engaged in by mainstream social sites on the web today as being no different than the printed pages of the gossip press of yesterday. In part two I will discuss the motion, style and direction needed to properly kiss my fucking ass.
Society tends to dramatize itself as complex within its own structure placing itself at the center of the universe, but in reality it is nothing more than a monkey wearing a suit an animal with animal instincts easily trained to dance when given the proper motivation or treats. I am not anti-social, however I am anti-socialist. I am pretty much anti-everything that forces me into surrendering my God, given beliefs as a freeman, thus in response unto your complexities of social engineering or i.e. socialism starts into motion the dynamics of rebellion placed within my soul by the Creator, and my birth into its’ creation leading unto a uncontrollable desire and need in telling you to kiss my fucking ass. Mark of Facebook!
Few songs if any give me chills from the first note to the last. This is one.
The real skynyrd
Sympathy for the devil and CRY FOR THE BAD MAN = ANTISEMITISM
He's galace Ronnie bhoy xx
Shootin' coke
An' drinkin' whiskey
Those were the days
Ronnie Van-Zant, ''what I Say'',, This man, of all time, was the greatest frontman ever, I've loved this beauty for 40 yrs. When he was prowling the stage he radiated everything of what a man should be, you could just smell the testosterone in the air, he was the alfa of the band, but I believe off the road he was soft and sweet to his woman at home, straight-up country boy, these boys these days should be so lucky to try and be like him. rest easy Ronnie.
I was here in 76; hope they play this next month.
this is for drump, today you lost love.no one wants to starve for you.eat shit.
They definitely don’t make them like this anymore!!!
Who was better then Ronnie, Allen, Gary & Co. This northern boy loves southern rock. Peace :)
Ronnie seemed more rowdy and loose with the hat and a little more hippie and down to earth without it seems... idk just comparing winterland 75 and 76...
He was soo fine.
Dang. Ohhwee.
The man had soul.
Who the hell gave a thumbs down for this video? Fucking tools I swear. It doesn’t get any better then this!!
Traitors, No doubt.
Ronnie kicks ass!
Ronnie would turn twenty-eight in ‘76; and the following year he was gone. Thank you for posting these performances.
How is it as a 34 year old I feel like I'm younger. This man had experience behind his music. One of a kind.
First Skynyrd show of 34. Greatest of all time.
Was that the shows 15 years old anyhow you treat me right and I'll treat you right that's the way it's supposed to be new generation just doesn't understand that
Spent all these years thinking Gary was just the "slide guy".... Smh he was a bad, bad, bad man in the 70's.
This is how it's done
Love this song and every song they ever done love you Ronnie van. May you all RIP
I love the lines he sings, "When you take my money from me, you're taking food my mama's table." "It's like walking through the swamps without no shoes and step on a snake."
Great song. So much relevance today 😀

Cry For The Bad Man lyrics © Universal Music Publishing Group
You treat me right and I'll treat you right that's the way it's supposed to be!
Ronnie eventually regretted writing that song because he actually made amends with Mr. Walden before he died. Still love that song as far as the lyrics, amazing riffs and of course that badass solo from Gary himself. Making that Les Paul sing and scream like nobody's business.
As great as Rossington's solos are on this song are, and they are great, Allen plays a killer rhythm here.
Before the country turned to pussies
He’s ain’t kiddin
Seem them 3 times.... once in August before the crash in 77.... hard times...this was the best band at the time, at the right time...I miss them and will always have respect for what johnny, Ricky and of course Gary has done to carry on. THE PROOF THAT EINSTEIN NEVER NEARLY UNDERSTOOD PHYSICS/PHYSICAL EXPERIENCE:
Energy has/involves GRAVITY, AND ENERGY has/involves inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE. You will never understand physics/physical experience until you understand GRAVITY in relation to (AND AS) BALANCED FORCE/ENERGY. E=mc2 is DIRECTLY AND FUNDAMENTALLY DERIVED FROM F=ma. ELECTROMAGNETISM/ENERGY IS GRAVITY. "Mass"/ENERGY IS GRAVITY. ELECTROMAGNETISM/ENERGY IS GRAVITY. ALL of SPACE is NECESSARILY ELECTROMAGNETIC/GRAVITATIONAL (IN BALANCE), AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/ENERGY IS GRAVITY. FACT.
Very importantly, outer "space" involves full inertia; AND it is fully invisible AND black.
Gravity/acceleration involves BALANCED inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/ENERGY IS GRAVITY. INDEED, A PHOTON may be placed at the center of THE SUN (as a POINT, of course); as the reduction of SPACE is offset by (or BALANCED with) the SPEED OF LIGHT; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/ENERGY IS GRAVITY. GREAT.

The best physicist who has ever lived loves Georgia and SKYNYRD.
