Lulu - Oh Me Oh My (I'm A Fool For You Baby) Lyrics
To make you laugh I'd play the fool for you,
Although the people turn and stare.
I'd give my everything to keep you boy
It breaks my heart when you're not there.
I'll stage a ballet on a table top,
Though I ain't got no tune my show won't flop,
'Cause I'll find the music in your eyes.
Oh me oh my
I'm a fool for you baby.
Oh me oh my,
When I'm crazy, said I'm crazy
Oh me oh my
I'm a fool for you baby
Let your love light shine on me.
We'll blow a genie from a cigarette,
We'll take a magic carpet ride,
We'll tell our smoky friend now don't forget
You must keep us side by side,
Oh me oh my
I'm a fool for you baby.
Oh me oh my,
When I'm crazy, yes I'm crazy crazy
Oh me oh my
I'm a fool for you baby
Just let your love light shine on me.
Listen to me, baby
Oh me oh my
I'm a fool for you baby
Oh me oh my, said I'm crazy, crazy

Me oh my I love ❤
It's a rare treat to see this video again.....and to hear this amazing artist sing this song.....
This is the absolute best song ever
cuddle bunny
PS.........When Lulu sings ' To Sir with Love ' Im in HEAVEN!!! SUBLIME.........🎸💚
Man I just LOVE this version done
So Good by Lulu! She just reaches
Into my Heart with that Pure
Urgency in her Voice as she belts
Out the chorus.........oh My.
Thank you for Posting this Beauty
🎸💚
long time ago i watched tv and in some musical observation program i saw the 3 seconds video called "Lulu song Yeah-yeah".
what was it?
BEAUTIFUL LIKE TO SIR WITH LOVE.
Im 57 years old
Dont ask me why but this song has stuck with me my whole entire life
I agree that she was underrated. That smokey/rough tinge to her voice along with lots of power and emotion in her delivery was mature beyond her years. Like Cilla Black and Shirley Bassey, she should have been bigger here in the states.
Looking at the film you'd never guess that she recorded this song in Sheffield, Alabama
really? Got a photo from that same location?
Chelsea Embankment, Chelsea Bridge, River Thames, London
she's fat
❤️❤️❤️❤️
When was this filmed? I ask because "Oh Me, Oh My [I'm a Fool for you Baby]" was a hit in 1969, but Lulu [judging by her clothing] looks very early 70's here.
Omg ..you do remember your clothing eras...😁🦋yes..this is definitely 1971-72
Thanks LP.
Os carros antigos passando que saudades.
The best song she didn't hit it big with.....
i Love you Lulu
I love the mood. A Sunny but cold winter afternoon . It looks like England.
Wonderful. An incomparable voice.
Nobody gave that song such a thrill, like Lulu.
Divine Voice.
I need this to be a lip sync for your life song on Rupaul’s Drag Race.
Emocionante
Her best song ever way underrated
I love and adore this woman and wish I could have met her all those years ago and could sang me to sleep each night.
Must be her best ever soul disc (along with "Morning Dew"), along with "Boy" and "The Boat That I Row" on the upbeat side.
Lulu is amazing she has a fantastic powerful voice
Lulu always had a great and dynamic voice full of to the point energy and sincere power. This song is one of my favorites by her. It should have been number 1 on the charts and definitely top 10. Number one in my book and one of those under rated songs.
Where is she nowadays?
She was before her time. Europe wasn't ready for a white woman who could sing with such a soulful voice. If she would have moved to America she probably would have been another Tina Marie or Carol King.
Wonderful song and great star Lulu.
Back when POP music was really POPPING.
Wasn't surprised to find she's from the UK... so many of my favorites over my 60 plus yrs have been..she had me @ TSWL, this just put her on a new plateau ..but the thing w/her in a lovely female form!
This song is timeless! Even Aretha Franklin did a remake of this song.
My great uncle was a Chelsea pensioner and he lived at the Royal Chelsea Hospital. I saw Lulu on The Embankment in west London as she was finishing the film for this.. Its Chelsea Bridge i and the chimney' of Battersea Power Station in the distance.
This amazing girl with the powerful voice. And I was a fool for him.
Truly amazing!
I'm 61 now and I have had a crush on Lulu ever since I saw her in To Sir with Love I still feel the same way lover music
Thanks, She was a guest star on a Variety Show for this taped gem!

How many movies have shown that part of London?
Beautiful voice ♦️♠️♦️
Great song...great artist!
She's so funny, so completely lovely and such a product of the best time there ever was in music industry.
best version by buster pointdexter(david johansen)
Just love Lulu--and this, her best song.
That little girl has some set of pipes! She was a great performer.
This could be FIRST "music video" ... Lulu is still awesome.
Actually the supposed first music or "rock video" was of the late Ricky Nelson on his fathers's weekly TV show "The Adventures of Ozzey and Harriet circa1950s/60s)). He sang the song "Travel'in Man". People believe that it was the first "true" rock music video because of the way it was shot super-imposing various scenes. There are still arguments to this day who actually shot the first "music video" but many supposed experts believe that there is a very strong chance the first music, pop, rock video was of Ricky Nelson. I'll bet you can find it here on Youtube
@inkey2 Thanks for the history Inkey. Awesome info ... will try and find that Ricky Nelson video. (PS: I STILL have a crush on my Lulu. Last year -- going strong at 70 -- she was in the musical 42nd Street in the West End!
@Eric Patterson she has an amazing voice and so instantly recognizable
Wow! Where did you find this one Mezzo Man UK? Nice!
PoliteTia it was on a series of vhs videotapes of early music videos bought many years ago from a local shop at knock down price
What a great destiny !!
Lulu and Dusty both have that fabulous rasp in their voices and could probably sing each other's songs lol..Lulu was terribly under rated and should have recorded more but To Sir With Love was her anthem.
Bob bsing Lulu was present at Dusty's funeral ( so was I!) and gave a very moving speech.
damn brings back memories
QUE MARAVILHA!
AND she ALWAYS sings live when it's possible!
eu gostei da LULU .
what a great song from an underrated singer
"Underrated" is an UNDERstatement! She STILL rocks out! 2016!
You will be amazed to learn that I only "discovered" her several months ago, when I found "The Boat that I row" here on youtube. I remember liking the theme song of "Man with the Golden Gun" from years ago, having no idea whatever that she was the one singing it.
one of my all time favorite songs!!!
underated singer
VERY underrated...........
é muita emoção pra um só coração momentos belos
My birthday wish,,,,,,,,,,
Thanks mezzomanUK for uploading this great video of beautiful Lulu. I love this track.
If there is a heaven.....just drop me on that park bench next to LuLu and we will call it even
MrUsaer , Same here😇😇
Rare classic
I love her she has that thing that's hard to explain. Dynamite does come in small packages.
I couldn't have said it better. I had really only been familiar with "To Sir With Love," so this performance is... well, like you said: Dynamite. Incredibly Soulful voice. I can't stop playing this song and I love the video.
This song is for you Dinky baby!
crazy over this song oh me o my I'm a fool for you Lulu
I would love to see what that location looks like now in 2016, anyone has a video?
Well it's somewhere in Great Britain so it probably still looks like this. Over there they take care of and preserve beautiful architecture, bridges, etc. Unlike here where we either raze it or just let fall apart of it's own volition
Chelsea Embankment on the Thames. Here's the spot in Google Maps, with the bench she sat on:

You have to love technology, i asked a question in the usa on a site and someone answers and produces a photo as well, thank you so much friend!!
Lulu is fabulous and the song great!
Lulu looks just like a women I dated in the '60's. I'll never forget some glorious nights we spent together. I have never forgotten her.
WOW!... so nice..... LuLu and this video makes me want to be young and back in the 60's again so bad!..... LuLu inspires me to get a new t shirt and hit the treadmill. Does she inspire you?
I ❤️ this song
I always new Lulu could sing, but I saw her on tv a Blues special/documentary once (can't seem to find it now?) and she was singing the blues and I tell you she was as good as it gets, she blew my mind!
I saw her, more than a few times, in Glasgow, before Shout came out. A very underated singer - her hero was Alex Harvey (say no more, just listen to Alex in his pre- SAHB soul & r'n'b days and his version of Shout). Also at that time the wonderful Maggie Bell was on the Glasgow scene.
Lulu made the decision to take Marion Massey's advice and what a career - movies, her own television shows (look up the famous Hendix one)., stage shows - she's done the lo,t has wee Marie. Even won the Eurovision. A number one in the States, too.
You can just see how much she is enjoying singing this song. She's putting her all into it. I love it.
always loved Lulu and this song is my all time favorite!
Heard this in a grocery store and thought it was Ronnie Spector, was kinda shocked it was Lulu when I looked it up. Very soulful performance
TAKE ME BACK <3
