Lulu - After The Feeling Is Gone Lyrics

It is easy to say we love each other at a time like this
Will it be the same tomorrow or will we have regrets
Will we still be on our minds
Will the need be this easy to find

After the feeling is gone, oh will you want me, will I still want you, baby
After the feeling is gone, oh will things still be the same

What seems right for now tomorrow's sun may show in a different light
Will there be a second time around in another life
Will we leave what we've done behind
Can the need be this easy to find

After the feeling is gone, oh will you want me, will I still want you, baby
After the feeling is gone, oh will things still be the same

Will we leave what we've done behind
Can the need be this easy to find

After the feeling is gone, oh will you want me, will I still want you, baby
After the feeling is gone, oh will you want me, will I still want you, baby
After the feeling is gone, oh will you want me, will I still want you, baby

I LOVE this...and couldn't agree more with the comments below. She was mis-managed, big time...made some bad career choices. Extremely underrated!!!

Had she put her faith in a quality manager/producer/writer...maybe someone like Thom Bell?? There is no telling how well she could have done!!!

In my opinion, she is the finest "blue eyed soul" female artist of all time. Easily better than Dusty. She just zigged when she should have zagged. How in the world the American Music Industry didn't jump to sign her to a big contract after "To Sir With Love" just baffles me. In 1967, it was the most popular song in America!!!

Coming so soon after the bubblegum pop of "Boom Bang A Bang" and "I'm A Tiger" the excellent Atco/Atlantic recordings slipped under the radar because she really was no longer taken seriously. Her next big hit was to be with David Bowie and his song "The Man Who Sold The World", it restored her credibility a little till she followed it with possibly the weakest James Bond theme ever and performed it like a poundshop Shirley Bassey. Lulu is possibly the best girl Rock n Roll singer Britain ever produced but some of her career choices have been the sound of a woman self-harming while wearing nice dresses and with perfect hair.

From the LP "Melody Fair" an undiscovered R&B gem. . .
