Lucinda Williams - Overtime Lyrics

Overtime
That's what they all tell me
That's what they say to me
Overtime
Your blue eyes, your black eyelashes
The way you looked at life
In your funny way
I guess out of the blue
You won't cross my mind
And I'll get over you
Overtime

Your pale skin, your sexy crooked teeth
The trouble you'd get in
In your clumsy way
I guess one afternoon
You won't cross my mind
And I'll get over you
Overtime

I guess out of the blue
You won't cross my mind
And I'll get over you
Overtime

a fine example of two legged purity. There is a little lucinda in all of us, if we stop long enough to listen, she did that. Lucky talented one, damn how she makes herself addictive to me heart

pierre leblanc you and me both brother. I've had it bad 4 her since this album. Love it...

pierre leblanc - She’s incredible. But, I have to disagree with your comment that there is a little bit of Lucinda in all of us. There are many aspects of me that are reflected in her songs and her interviews. I’m quite sure that the same holds true for you. But, there are far too few Lucindas in the world. It’s a big part of what captures us, her fans. Her authenticity, her keen ability to experience and translate her raw emotions, that leave many of us replaying her songs because she gets, expresses, and taps into the things that mean the most to us. No matter what I’m up against, I feel like I have a friend next to me, as soon as I play her music. Lucinda. A friend who would get my state of mind - perhaps lift me from it, or at least being understanding enough not to beat me to death with lectures and vacant stares that leads to know good. We are Blessed to have her. She knows the truth, and has the guts to speak it, to sing it, and to write about it. I thank God for her, for her talent, her understanding, her own moodiness and her losses that have helped me to deal with mine. She’s one in a million.

What instruments are they using? Is that a synthesizer with reverb? Steel guitar?

    r.... p....

That's just a clean guitar running through an amp with the tremolo effect. (cranked to eleven.)
