One of my very favorite songs, not just at Christmas. I heard it first sung by Ben Speer and fell in love with it. Love it no matter who sings it. Just listened to the Oaks sing it, just love it!! Thank you Mr. Boyce and God for it!!

It actually wasn't recorded as a Christmas song, from what I've heard. The first two recordings of it (Stanley Bros. 66, and Ralph Stanley solo 72) were both summer releases. Definitely love Patty's version.
