Local H - Buffalo Trace Lyrics

Eight hours to get to Heaven Hill
Head down - due south - past Louisville
Dont stop until the bourbon still
Parker says we can drink our fill
Eight hours to get to Heaven Hill
Eight hours
Just leave me where Im found
and put my bones in the ground
Oh, yeah - well, its a Buffalo Trace
Fan out and dont give up on the chase
She will make her mark on my face
The Blue Grass Parkway is my favorite place
Eight hours to get to Heaven Hill
Eight Hours
Just leave me where Im found
and put my bones in the ground
All Hail- Manowar is dead
Give up the ghost and put your babies to bed
Oh, yeah- well, you're so easily led
All your money keeps your horses fed
All hail - Manowar is dead
Hail - Hail
Just leave me where Im found
and put my bones in the ground

Over the 25-30 Local H shows I've been to, I've had the pleasure of seeing this live 5-6 times. Never get sick of it .

The unlikers were all mad cos they never found out whatever happened to PJ Soles

Who pressed the dislike button. Let's drag them out to the street and beat them

  7. S.... B....

I think this is, not to be too crazy, the best song in the history of time

    S.... B....

Simon Brooks I don't know if I'd go that far, but it's pretty damn close!

    S.... B....

    Try the czar by mastodon.

    Or prophet song by queen

Or no quarter by Led Zeppelin.

All three put this song down

seriously their best song. Tripy hard rocking and epic. the build up at the end is what true rock should be. local h are rock gods. I've been following their work since hamfist and I've never been let down. I know im gonna offend someone with this comment but their cover of time is better than the original.

    r.... s....

ready set continue it's not wrong to say that. Just like you could say Tool's cover of 'No Quarter' is better than the original. Or Johnny Cash's cover of 'Hurt' or Jimi Hendrix's cover of 'All Along The Watchtower'. All gems.

    r.... s....

I'd have to agree, Pink Floyd is one of my all time favorite bands but Local H's Time is gold.

A case can be made. But, there is no doubt that their cover of "Wolf Like Me" is better than the original by TV on the Radio

Saw these guys two nights ago and I'm still getting my hearing back. Always hope to hear this one, but they did Fritz's Corner and The One With Kid so I'm not gonna complain!

  14. r.... ....

i think this album sold decent for an indie rock album, california songs was on mainstream alternative rock stations back in 2004, i remember vividly because when i heard it on the radio i thought it was the greatest thing i had heard in awhile!

  15. J.... L....

    Fuckin A!

  16. p.... ....

I feel like I just entered a whole new room into rock and metal music! Hello everybody!

  18. C.... ....

Well at least you got me to look up who Kevin Gilbert is. Not bad, but not my cup of tea. God rest his soul.

  19. E.... M....

I'm 32....how the fuck did I JUST learn about them??!!?? Fucking sky rocketed to one of my fav bands instantly!

    E.... M....

Eric Moon trust me you heard bound for the floor on the radio a million times when you were in high school . You just didn’t realize who it was

    E.... M....

So have you seen them live yet? -MM

  20. z.... ....

@BuffaloDisgrace Good idea. I can't believe that I was the only one to post the studio version of the great song.

  21. H.... ....

@familyguyfreak3324 Seriously. That's what pisses me off about Local H: They're the greatest rock band that nobody knows about. (or, not as many people know about as there should be.)

    H.... ....

Hyperchicken plenty of people know about them. They just never had a second big hit after bound for the floor and the 90’s was a tough time for rock musicians . Bands like offspring or eveclear would have 8-10 hits and still be moderately popular . The competition was brutal

  22. C.... ....

This song is epic. One of my favorites of all time.
