Little Feat - The Fan Lyrics
Heard you got an infection
Just before your lewd rejection.
Wait till the shit hits the fan
You couldn't turn him down.
Hold your address book above your knees
And kiss your soft leg there.
He was on top of the pop stars
You couldn't turn him down.
You were a sweet girl
When you were a cheerleader
But I think you're much better now.
And you passed out in the back of a car.
You were too messed up to climb out
What if your old man had found out?

Little Feat The Fan Comments
Classic rock for ever.
Milliken Yes!!! ABSOLUTELY KILLER (auf deutsch: KAKERLAKENFALLE)!!! DAF!!! Dig, Cone-Heads???
Levene Eagles: Yes!!! Mac: No. Chrissie and Nicks are good Girls.
I'm guessing Lowell George used his Dumble for this one...never ask Alexander when he'll be finished building your amp or you'll be fucked
Something about this song. It has different stages and all are perfect. It just resonates in the brain.
I still like it.
not a lot folks realized the complexity of this one...probabably the smoothest 7/ 8 to a 4/4 groove that i think from the day
little feat were the best band from USA in the seventies . should have been huge. instead we had to put up with crap like the eagles and Fleetwood Mac
wonderful sustained musical syncronicity
Had they been listenin to Yes when they were recordin this song ?
Great song
I think they were listening to Weather Report around now. The middle section on the Columbus version of Tripe Face Boogie is very reminiscent of Black Market.
Don't be silly
Silly Heart
God, let's hope not.
haven't heard this for years (Maaany) getting a superquasidimensional 80's flashback - that I cannot remember even While I'm having IT
I just Quit that day job
I'm a fan.....That's for sure...Lowell was and is an Icon....Rock and Roll Hall of Fame please!
why???? the place is a joke. they were better than half the groups that are in there.
Lowell wouldn't have given a shit.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke to the rock and roll community. It is politically motivated.. the critics do not like long jam bands, southern rock bands electic type bands such as Little Feat. No Grand Funk Railroad, no Tommy Bolin, no Outlaws or jam bands in there...
saw little in DC 73-76 Many live shows at D.A.R, Lisner and another autotorium in DC...saw them about at least 16 times crazy after second show parties Watergate once... to be a doorman in small halls...also saw Fairporet Convention around the samew time with Sanday and Richard who showed up for two shows playing locally Thopson sat ion for two sets...wow minus Ashley and first drummer original lineup....also swas first Kiss tour opening for Emmylou of all combos's...the first row hooped dresses and rose boquets ran for their lives..
I cut my rock-n-roll teeth on this album , and so many other great ones of that era !
I like it
As good as it gets.
@michael boykins . Your brain is too slow!
Saw them play this at the Rainbow in Finsbury Park in 1974 - superb!
I heard you an infection from a guitar player of great renown..... Damn I miss Lowell
I agree
it's too fast
Yes......
My favorite Feat song as well! Killer! Happy Birthday and rest in peace Lowell
Just heard recently that the artist who did the cover, Neon Parks, said the cover is supposed to represent riches (Washington) and bitches (Marilyn Monroe). I would have never thought of that
This tune effing kills
One of my favorite albums ever! Some like waiting for Columbus better but Im not one. Love that one as well but this is way funkier... Love the album art too, stuck with me since I first heard it many moons ago...
Greasy
:)
Perfect !
What a great band
do i hear a little ""spirit"" here?
thanks for the memories .thanks for posting.now i know why i can play 7/8 so well these days.
btw dont you think the intro was ripped off by bums and roses
wait til the shit hits the fan....love the song and the alliterative verse intermingled...special lyrics here boys n girls..these fellas know how to rock....RIP Lowell n Ritchie....never have failed me.
brilliant song.......... brilliant.
I been looking for this song ever since I learned how to turn a computer on. But not remembering the title didn't help any. This is my all time favorite Feat.
