Little Feat - Sailin' Shoes Lyrics

There's a lady in a turban, in a cocaine tree
She does a dance so rhythmically
She's cryin', and a-singin' and having a time
And don't that cocaine tree look fine

You've got to put on your sailin' shoes
Put on your sailin' shoes
Everyone will start to cheer
When you put on your sailin' shoes

Jedidiah, he's got a dime
Says he catch a more fish, every time
Well I got a line, and you got a pole
And I'll meet you at the fishin' hole

You've got to put on your sailin' shoes
Put on your sailin' shoes
Everyone will start to cheer
When you put on your sailin' shoes

[Guitar solo]

Doctor, doctor, I feel so bad
This is the worst day I ever had
He said, have you this misery a very long time?
Well if you are ill, ball it on the line

You've got to put on your sailin' shoes
Put on your sailin' shoes
Everyone will start to cheer
When you put on your sailin' shoes

Lil Feat are the best - for me it started with "A Day at the Dog Races"... a different tune than the normal Feat, but I loved it and it drew me into the rest of their great music

First album I ever got, from my parents no less. I was 12, needless to say they were stunned at what their daughter was listening to! Still love it!

    1967 - 1976 - best 10 years in music history

    G.... E....

...Until 1985 Then theres Rap had got established !
stock atkin & waterman manufactured tat - And musics has continually gone down hill ?
There are some great bands out there if you look ! - But mostly it's tat...

    G.... E....

    Much prefer 1975 to 1985 !

    G.... E....

    @Matt Gillis
    1775 to 1825 -
Well thattime frames a little bit early for me but back then you had the classicals like MOZART who started before 1775 was getting to the end of his carreer - BEETHOVEN was half way through his career at 1825 & SCHUBERT was just starting at 1825 ! HAYDN from 1805 to 1740
Just a short Liszt to help clear things up
A lot of these classicals opened the doors for others musicians like Falco with Amadeus !

    G.... E....

    Pink floyd

    G.... E....

@Steve Birks Falco is up there with Mozart!
