Little Feat - Let It Roll Lyrics
Rollin' down highway 95
Sailin' through her hometown countryside
Move on over stand astride
My cruise control's in overdrive
Need to take my baby for a ride
Ooo she's like a smooth stretch of highway
Ooo she's like a cool Summer breeze
If my motor's runnin' right, we might lose control tonight
Got the shape I love to squeeze, looks that bring me to my knees
Oh please, let it roll tonight
Might be doin' more thahn fifty-five
When I sit my baby right down by my side
Where the rubber hit the road
This rig don't dig no overload
Ooo she's like a smooth stretch of highway
Ooo she's like a cool Summer breeze
If my motor's runnin' right, we might lose control tonight
Got the shape I love to squeeze, looks that bring me to my knees
Oh please, let it roll tonight
Now I know just how heaven feels
When she reach beneath my big old steerin' wheel
Dyna flow, power glide
Bored and stroked, I'm satisfied
When I take my baby for a ride
Ooo she's like a smooth stretch of highway
Ooo she's like a cool Summer breeze
If my motor's runnin' right, we might lose control tonight
Got the shape I love to squeeze, looks that bring me to my knees
Oh please, let it roll tonight

RIP Paul
Put this baby on the car stereo & you won't have a care in the world! RIP, Paul, Lowell & Richie!
Saw feat in late 70s in Memphis been a big fan since . I think they blew my mind!
141 people are faggots.
RIP Paul. Greatest band ever
Paul Barrere, shocked to me.
One of the rockinest songs ever
I was actually at Little Feat's most recent concert- at the State Theater in Portland, Maine just ten days ago. There, Bill Payne announced that Paul Barrere was absent because his doctor advised him to take a load off. And lo and behold, he died just a few days later. Such a shame. It made me want to check this video out again as it was the song that introduced me to the group. Rest in peace, Paul.
ah-HA! So THAT'S what happened to the ZZ Top car. . . . mmm-hmm!!
Where are the horns?
RIP jamman love your stuff everyday
Let It Roll Paul.
R.I.P PB
Let it Roll wherever you are Paul! Thanks for the great ride. RIP🎸
Went to see Feat 10/19/19 in Troy NY. Guy sitting next to me told me Paul was off the road and in the hospital in CA and wouldn't be performing. Little did I know, Paul would be dead exactly a week later. This being one of my favorite LF tunes and featuring Paul prominently, I thought it was a good place to leave my condolences. Thanks for all the great nights (and a few days) of awesome Little Feat shows! They will remain in my memories until I meet you on that beach. Rest in Peace, Paul.
They just played in Huntington NY.
We'll miss you, Paul. You guys kick it!
RIP brother.
Rest in peace Mr. Paul Barrere. May the fair winds fill your sails.
RIP, Mr. Barrere.
RIP Paul...Great talent and Great man !
RIP Paul Barrere. Your songs, voice, and guitar brought joy to many and will carry on.
RIP Paul Barrere
RIP Paul Barrere. Let it roll forever!
Paul Barrere passed today - October 26, 2019..."say Hi! to Lowell for us" & R.I.P.
Amen....
Amen to that. Great players, great band.
Your comment had to set up a tear. Immortal through their music.
May God rest you Paul Barrere.
RIP Paul Barrere.
Grandma!!! Is that you in the corvette??
This Hashtag generation needs to beware of this video
Can't listen to this while driving or a speeding ticket is sure to follow.
Last time I heard this song I was driving southbound on US 95 between McDermitt and Winnemucca.
How did we get to a place where this music, musicianship and groove are nonexistent. I love this entire album. We won't see it's like again in our lifetimes.
I see there 121 pathetic losers that don't know a thing about good music...
Did i come too early for the Jojo references?
Heard this song back in the eighties, pulling out of a drive way just picked up my 41 woody wagon neat song the woody is long gone but not the song
This ISN'T Little Feat...as Lowell George was long dead. Just a corporate 80's re-creation of the group to make $$$$$.
Sad...and dishonorable to Mr. George.
This is a great song that showcases the talent of every member. I don't hear anything pertaining to any corporation in this song...just well written, well performed gem of a song.
Let it go. Lowell quit the band, they moved on, so should you.
Anyone know who all those guitar players are? Barrere has the snap-brim hat, I guess. Who are the others?
Hi Jan, Craig Fuller (2nd lead singer to Paul), Sam Clayton (Congas), Kenny Gradney (bass guitar), Fred Tackett (Trumpet), Bill Payne (Keyboards) & Richie Hayward (drums)......hope that helps!
Who is that guitar player @1:26-1:30. What is his name? Thank you for any reply.
Appears to be Craig Fuller.
@Fiery Vixen Thank you. Appreciate it !!
There are certain songs that take me back to a specific place in time, Let it Roll is large in my memory for that point in time and memory for me. God bless Little Feat for the sound track of my life
LIKE A COOL SUMMER BREEZE
I remember these guys playing the Cotton Club in Lubbock in 1976.
Good shit
Road trip
103 idiots
I was in radio longer than this song has been around. I loved it when it was released but I was never able to play it without breaking format, It was ignored by every station in the country, The internet will keep it alive though. Thank you YouTube. This song was also a favorite of my first wife, God rest her soul.
Oh yeahhhh ! . . . Rock and " classe " ! . . . . Great musicians and great band !
Brings back memories of 1993 speeding down the 5 when Jim Ladd would play this...
I remember watching the feat live at the 12th gate in Atlanta-
Careful the wires are hot !!!
Burning hot. holy moly, that takes me back. they loved playing in Atlanta, hence the songs etc. but they had real connections here. I heard a story that LG was involved with Linda R & it all started up when they were here. who knows. Let it Roll.
One of my favorite's songs of all time. The energy is intoxicating.
Love Little Feat. Born in 1941
There is some warped and bitterly twisted algorithm that offered up some whining special-needs employment client by the name of "Ed Sheeran" as something I might enjoy after watching this.
Seriously people, what is *wrong* with you...
Rick Cantrell, pianist, there ya go! Happy New Year 2019
Listening to this makes me wonder if there's a small man in my back pocket and if I'm shrinking
Jojo reference u saw the new episode XD
i c bajs forsen1
There's a fat man in the bathtub with the blues.
Check your left ass pocket
saw little feat at byron bay bluesfest around2003 or 4 they were fantastic ,and they played twice during the festival on seperate days, ! superduper!
Not Little Feat. You don't get that without Lowell George.
What an awesome song this is!
whuhh!!
Classic evolution of Boogie and Rock 4:33 isn't enough, Rock On!
saw little feat at byron bay bluesfest in the early 2000s fucking fantastic, one of my best gigs ever, they played twice, and pretty much all the original band were present ,except Lowell of course, they were soooo hot.......they did the Deads Tennnesee Jed, I nearly died ........Dynamite!
Atlanta's adopted band from LA. Jammed to them alot and got to see them once... I think.! Lol.
Gots to let these feats wander...
When I heard they were opening for The Dead in Maine in '88 I WAS THERE !!!! On the first night you could hear their sound check from outside of the racetrack they were playing at. When I heard this I thought "Wow !!! They're Back To Kick Some Ass"
This video is nothing more than a crass representation of white male hetero cisgender misogynistic patriarchy ... and that's why IT IS AWESOME!!!!
Hate to say it, but, they are better than half the bands that are in the rock and roll hall of fame !😎!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! Steve Miller? Kiss? Melissa Etheredge? Doesn't anybody remember how influential these guys were?
a lot more than half. haha.
A lot more than half.
Love playing this in MY Corvette convertible...I have a silver C6 though as opposed to the red C4 in the video.
Serving overseas in the first gulf war, we had a gym on our carrier. I had this on a mix tape and would jam to it as I ran on a treadmill to work out. Hard jam'n music like this made it easier to get that couple miles in every day. My thanks to the band for decades of awesome music that I still listen to!
I can thank the previous speaker for his words ... little feat was and is a big band. The mix of boggie blues, rock, jazz, funk and not to mention Diexie gets in the legs. Also I miss lowell george with his voice and his bottelneckguitar and especially R. hayward on the drums .. By J. Amatrading on a live album hayward plays super ...
Total effin jam! Groove monster!
How the hell do they do that?!?
I live 6 miles from I-95 in Johnston Co. N.C. Think I'll jump in the grand prix gt. pop in this killer cd and mash the gas listening to Paul ,Craig, and the boys as I let it roll down I-95
We got US-95 in NV, let it roll from Fallon to Vegas many a time, even though a 359 Peterbilt doesn't exactly smoke the asphalt....
Little Feat, rockin' the house once again.
Man these are some rock and rolling fools!
Love the song let it roll tonight 😊
It sounds got a great hook it just awesome boogie on down the road and the other song Twisted Sisters good too but I can't believe I just found this gem about a year ago. If my motor running right just might lose control tonight. Hell yea
Amen brother. Great drummer.
Great song, amazing video.
Before Lowell died he quit the band, remember that. Craig Fuller joined the band with others.
Lowell was greatness with Feat but when un-tethered the band still maintained and even took off into new possibilities.
Craig Fuller wrote great songs for the band.
Little Feat isn't all about Lowell George.
If it had beenk they would have dried up and blown away. They Rolled On !
Without Lowell, there IS NO FEAT...let that sink in, then tell yourself that last line again
@#10's Universe you're an idiot!
Can someone tell me the name of the guitar player, 0:38 the one that accompanies the lead singer. Thank you.
Craig Fuller, originally with Pure Prairie League
Ya know the guy driving that great roadster... is Jeff Beck.
What????
Great horn stuff and serious rockabilly. Little Feat was a great band,
Love this song so much!!@
I love this video showing Richie having a blast....miss you and Lowell, man
This song made me shrink. How Bizarre.
Doesn't get more fun than that!
I saw Bill Payne on keyboards a couple of weeks ago with the Doobie Brothers. I didn't know he was doing 'double duty'! :)
Little Feat has been on hiatus for the last two years because lead guitarist Paul Barrere has some medical issues that limit travel. They performed three shows last year (2015) and four this year. They were added to a .moe venture at Paradise Cove in Jamaica last January (2016), and played four shows there. They are headlining a week in Jamaica next January (2017), with special guests the Midnight Ramble Band (Larry Campbell and the Levon Helm Band) and Jackson Browne. During that time, Bill toured with Leftover Salmon and more recently with the Doobie Brothers
Oh, sorry to hear that!
This song's been in more movie trailers than you can count.
Absolutely where I first heard it.

Like most things related to Little Feat, this is great. A great, infectious song with a fun video. Especially great to see Richie Hayward playing - he was captivating to watch the times I saw them live.

Caught an LF promo acoustic set at a record store (1999-ish), guy standing next to me was RH. I didn't even realize til after the short performance the dude walked to the stage and joined the band for the applause & cd signings. True story.
absolutely fantastic
Don't get better than that.
One of the best damm songs Ever
AMEN to that opinion David Hernandez!!!! I saw them when they toured for this album release. 👍
If these guys ain't in the Rock n Rool hall of fame Something is very wrong
americas broken
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a joke.
They ain't and that's just wrong
They ain't. And there is.
Playing this song while driving...will get you a speeding ticket.
no doubt ……………..
Those Feat'll steer you wrong sometimes! 🎶🍻
@Epic Bottom Bankz then he's deaf
Super catchy tune.
Oh Gawd. Uninspiring load of guff, admittedly well played, complete with bland, formulaic copy of a ZZT video (hardly the last word themselves). Sounds like yet another bit of corporate American schlock rock. Appreciate the members of the band have to make a living, but this is dire.
A fun song .
Laurie, were you dropped on your head as a baby?
your an idiot.;
Go back to bed!
