I remeber when i was younger, 16 maybe 17, i had this notebook with all LP song lyrics and i was listening the music and singing to myself. It was healing.

I had three dream sequences where this song was constantly playing and it kept repeating "The little things give you away" and it kept the nightmares away when I knew I was dreaming. It kept pointing out the little details about my being in a dream. It was surreal.

I was sexually abused by a girl in my class from the age of 11 to the age of 16. I ended up with self-harm, nightmares, crying fits, suicidal feelings, fear of intimacy, difficulty with relationships and friendships, exacerbated by the loneliness of nobody having been there for me, and my abuse having been regarded by wider society as amusing and "payback" for what happens to women.


This captures how I've been feeling ever since, it feels like a source of comfort somehow, especially since the lead singer had suffered something not dissimilar.

I have a similar story... But they were two men.... I still suffer and no one knows about it.....

Rob where was all this genius on the other records? The drumming is competent and works well in every linkin park song but rarely given time to shine. This song gives every member their moment, and Rob’s is spectacular. I had no idea he was this good, this subtle. Makes this track special.

The first time I've ever heard this song. I'll admit at the start I was a little bored but by the end they had me. How it builds with all those little parts and harmonies. Man. By the last note I was completely wrapped up in it.

i can’t....i just cry ya know? losing Chester just really hurt as a fan. we grew up with him as if it was something so profound and spoke for us as a generation. to be honest, i even had Mac Miller in mind when i shed a tear. it’s those who were unaware of how much of an impact they make to millions that we really listened to with our hearts
