Agreed, the 90s/00s was a great time for music but there are some that are decent now days. I just stumbled onto (Mr Probz - Praying To A God

My personal opinion of whats going on with today's music

Artists take alot of criticism, the media/technology influx puts alot more pressure on artists to create what is considered acceptable. That pressure affects alot of us. Many of us don't share our music because of the hate we receive. We cant escape it, get away and let our souls speak through our art . We're told its not the right thing to do, judged for every mistake we make, especially when we're just starting. Bombarded from our phones/boss/parents/teachers. We close up. We start to believe we're not good enough, that we've got to get a degree, get a job and retire. Many of the greatest artists will never be heard because of this. Yeah this pressure has always been there but with this new age of technology, everything gets amplified.

But that also means once we've adapted and become accustomed to our new environment. That'll be heard , and then amplified by today's tech. It will take time, but the best take time to manifest. I found that when we evolve we go through cycles. When its at its low. We take a step back, take a breath, assess new environment, adapt ourselves. We then come back better than before

its alot like most movies/game story lines. Classic hero ark. But that appeals to us because thats who we are

I promise, great music is still to come
