Lewis, Jerry Lee - Don't Let Me Cross Over Lyrics

Don't let me cross over love's cheating line
I'm tempted my darling to steal you away
Don't let me cross over stay out of my way
You know that I love you and I'm not the stealing kind
But I'm forced with heartaches at love's cheating line

Don't let me cross over love's cheating line
You belong to another and you'll never be mine
I know one step closer would be heaven divine
Don't let me cross over love's cheating line

I've tried to forget you but what else can I do
When your eyes keep saying that you love me too
I know if I lose you not a dream will I have left
I don't want to cheat dear but I can't help myself

Don't let me cross over love's cheating line
You belong to another and you'll never be mine
I know one step closer would be heaven divine
Don't let me cross over love's cheating line

    You're welcome!

    Hard to swallow
    the fact that Elvis
got into the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME, but Jerry Lee Lewis has been
    shunned, especially since
    JLL's contributions
    to country music
    are far greater.
    Nobody has ever
    given the voting committe
    of the CMHOF an
    award for being
fair! (Can you post Linda Gail Lewis
    singing IVORY
    TOWER? I may be
one of the few who own a copy
of the 45rpm single! I think it
    was her finest
    song.)

Milton Moore Agregious!!! Insult to The Killer & his forever fans!!! We KNOW where all of the talent lies...in this ONE MAN!!!
#1 (that's when you know you got somethin')

I think we all know why he's been shunned.

They have to record more songs together! Great album.

    Slightly too old
    for that now, I
    think, unfortunately.

Probably. But you never know with the Killer. He sang pretty well in Rock And Roll Time, and the last duet they did together, You're my sunshine, was beautiful! Maybe you're right anyway.
