Leon Russell - A Six Pack To Go Lyrics

Hey, Mister Bartender
Please don't be so slow
I got time for one more round
And a six pack to go

Tomorrow mornin's Sunday
I'm gonna be feelin' low
So please, please, bartender
I wanna six pack to go

I've been drinkin' all day long
Takin' in the town
I've done spent my whole paycheck
Justa honky tonkin' 'round

I don't have enough to pay my rent
I ain't gonna worry though
I've got time for one more round
And a six pack to go

Hey, Mister Bartender
Please don't be so slow
I got time for one more round
And a six pack to go

Tomorrow mornin's Sunday
I'm gonna be feelin' low
So please, please, bartender
I wanna six pack to go

I've been drinkin' all day long
Takin' in the town
I've done spent my whole paycheck
Justa honky tonkin' 'round

Well, I don't have enough to pay my rent
I ain't gonna worry though
I've got time for one more round
And a six pack to go

One six pack to go

Leon Russell A Six Pack To Go Comments

I was a huge Leon Fan.  I was somewhat disappointed when he released this country music album.  But, it showed his genius, within 2 years Waylon and Willie hit the charts with the Outlaws album.  I've been listen to Leon and country now for 40 years

  2. RookerRoo343P

    Nobody quite like Leon!

  3. Electron Hop

The only celebrity I ever cried about losing, cept for Ol’Yeller.

  4. Joseph Hitt

Thank you. NOTHING better than Leon Russell, though his contemporaries are fabulous: real music, to say the least.

  5. Arnold Silvey

Had the Album in "74" in Germany, Loved it then and now

    Arnold Silvey

Called Hank Willson at that time

  6. Steven Wiederholt

Brother Leon! I'm glad he got some of the recognition he deserves, there at the end.

  7. TheHow1

that was a fantastic album! I had Leon sign Hank Wilson on his back on the CD cover and had him sign Leon on the inside pic of his front

  8. Dorothy Avera

love his music. it's music for my soul. I want to dance.

  9. Susan Duncan

    😍😍😍

  10. Ariellyn

Outstanding. If anyone could have been cloned it should have been Leon. Thanks for this very special video with some of the best photos of Leon.

    Electron Hop

Oh hell no, one of a kind ! You can’t dilute perfection with bullshit.

And my other rarely heard favorite
" on the cover of Rolling Stone"

    Crystal Longdon

That was "Dr. Hook," though, not Leon Russell.

    Crystal Longdon

That song was performed by "Dr. Hook." However, Leon did sing about the Rolling Stone in this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgtTwz8xqss&list=PLcte1IKl6fN7L16tmnYqsnkwC9XH5dc8T&index=38

  24. IIItriples

"Two for the Road" was the name of an LP he and Willy Nelson cut back in the 70s or super early 80s, and I had it on aLP.
Have not seen it in eons and I can not find that pressing or a CD version anywhere.
