Lennon, John - Let Me Count The Ways Lyrics

Let me count the ways how I love you
It's like that gentle wind you feel at dawn
It's like that first sun that hits the dew
It's like that cloud with a gold lining telling us softly
That it'll be a good day, a good day for us
Thank you, thank you, thank you

Let me count the ways how I miss you
It's like that oak tree in my childhood garden
It's like that first summer I spent in Egypt
It's like that warm evening you read to me
Both knowing deeply that it's a good time, a good time for us
Thank you, thank you, thank you

Let me count the ways how I see you
It's like that lake in the mountain you heard about
It's like that autumn sky that stays so blue
It's like that air around me that holds me gently
Whispering strongly that you're always there, always for me
Thank you, thank you, thank you

Lennon, John Let Me Count The Ways Comments
  1. B.... R....

I love this album. My Mom worshipped John Lennon. I guess a lot of people did. I like Cynthia's new book about him. Different point of view.

  2. J.... D....

This is nothing but a shower song. Embarrassing! Ono brought John down almost to her no-talent level. No wonder he expressed interest in writing songs with McCartney again.

  3. c.... r....

this reminds me of the day that i heard i got my car

  4. j.... s....

You could torture people with her music

  5. .... ....

John really loved Yoko. I will love her if I receive this song for myself.

  6. M.... D....

I was never a fan of Yoko's but there's something about this simple little tune that hit home with me years ago when I first heard it.

There's beauty in simplicity and this tune just strikes a chord with me.

A very sweet, gentle and lyrically honest little tune.

It's simply D and G all the way through, but memorable melodies have always been about sincerity not complexity.

  7. S.... R....

Great job and beautiful. A great example of a simple song using only two chords.

  8. M.... S....

Thank you Yoko. A good day to hear this song ...

  9. J.... A....

This song reminds me of my childhood when my mother learned me in the ways of beloved John💚

  10. D.... F....

Not the greatest singer but this song is so goddamn cute!
