Lee DeWyze - Dreaming Alone Lyrics

Wake up
Remembering just what she said
Memories of things that never even happened
Run through your head

I keep the shades pulled tight
To let the light in
My eyes have all been closed
Seeing only what if

But when you said goodbye
Is what you meant goodnight
'Til tomorrow
If it's me in your dreams
I'd sleep the day away
Cause when you say goodbye
What I hear is goodnight
So keep it in the night

The fight's in the love and aftermath
And me melting into you
Melting into the place you dreamt last
Don't leave
The fear eats me away

The fear you're dreaming alone

But when you said goodbye
Is what you meant goodnight
'Til tomorrow
If it's me in your dreams
I'd sleep the day away
Cause when you say goodbye
What I hear is goodnight
So don't leave me goodnight

But when you said goodbye
Is what you mean goodnight
'Til tomorrow
Is it me in your dreams?
I'll sleep the day away
But when you say goodbye
What I hear is goodnight
But when you,
You don't let it leave your mind

Stabbing Westward was one of my favorite bands back around their Wither Blister Burn and Peel time. Econoline Crush was up there too. Glad to see my favorite guys from both bands are still making music and going back to their roots a little. I wasn't a fan of the first The Dreaming album but the second one was good and this sounds like it may be on-par or better.

I wasn't big on Etched in Blood, either. I just found out today they had made Puppey (LOVED it!) and now this ... I like it, but it sounds like a combo of their old stuff and that self-titled album that I only liked 3 songs from. I'm hopeful, and after hearing Puppet in full just before this, confident this new album won't disappoint.

    This is a good song.

    The singer from Stabbing Westward.

The singer sounds a lot like the one from [Cell7].

I'm about halfway through Re:Cognition. I can see why you said that, though I would say Chris's voice is a lot stronger than the Cell 7 guy. The music overpowers him a lot from what I've heard so far.

Oh, never got around to looking into that, thank you ^_^ But yes, listening to these again, definitely a stronger voice coming from this guy. Good singers and music projects, the both of them, though.

Agreed. I'm grateful for your comment because I liked that album from [Cell 7]. I'll be looking up more from them when I have time. I do recommend the first 3 albums from Stabbing Westward if you like this, though. Ungod, Wither Blister Burn + Peel, and Darkest Days. Their self-titled 4th album was ok, but I always recommend them in order to hear their evolution as a band and how their 4th was at the end before they broke up.

Sounds good, I'll be sure to check those all out! And as far as [Cell 7] goes, I think Re:Cognition might have been his only album aside from an EP called Precognition that I have not been able to find. Fingers crossed that he releases more music in the future though.

I enjoyed cell 7. The music is good, right up to the moment the dude opened his voice. Cell dweller are much better.
