LeDoux, Chris - Call Of The Wild Lyrics
Storm clouds are building above the timber line
The lightning's flashing across the mountain side
The thunder's rollin' down the canyons of his mind
Somewhere beyond the great divide
The bugle of the bull elk echos through pines
He hungers for the freedom of an eagle as she flies
Somewhere beyond the great divide
He's heard the call of the wild
He's heard the call of the wild
The mountains callin' to him like a mother calls her child
He's heard the call of the wild
Livin' in the city oh it gets to be a grind
Puttin' in his hours workin' overtime
Waitin' for the day he can leave it all behind
He's got to get away from the city for a while
He's gotta answer the call of the wild
He's heard the call of the wild
He's heard the call of the wild
The mountains callin' to him like a mother calls her child
He's heard the call of the wild
Livin' in the city oh it gets to be a grind
Puttin' in his hours workin' overtime
Waitin' for the day he can leave it all behind
To go somewhere beyond the great divide

Hey 750k people who are "fans" the other 17k of us REAL fans are supporting chris on his channel lol like HOW ON FUCK HASNT THIS BEEN REMOVED
That moment when you realize saying RIP Chris doesn’t work nor does it madder because he’s dead and can’t read it and it’s literally a YouTube video with a couple thousand likes....oof
So sad I’m just hearing this song now. I know he’s with the spirits of the great wild
Most people don't treasure Wyoming until they have been there and then they understand.
I listen to the song when im on the way to my stand and the first time i drove my new truck ( at the time ) i listen to the and i walked to the stand and listened and then shot my biggest buck ever 12 point with my bow at 18 yards
Well I’m heading to Montana right now
Great song, great photos. There was a time when most Americans lives close to nature. In that way, we were related to the culture of the Native Americans. It is a way of life forgotten by most Americans but preserved in ranching and farming communities but best preserved in western movies and music. It is a remnant of the origin--the heart--of American culture. Today, it is threatened because of the politicians and entrepreneurs that have been running and ruining the country not long after the end of World War II. The change is illustrated by the fact that the western way of life was once celebrated by Hollywood by directors such as Anthony Mann, John Ford, Howard Hawks, George Stevens, Raoul Walsh, and Budd Boetticher. Then came the mockers of that culture, Fred Zinnemann (High Noon) and Mel Brooks (Blazing Saddles). And the mocking continues. That is why these songs and videos are so nostalgic. They remind us old-time Americans of what is still best in America and most threatened. Thanks to YouTube and the creators of these video. They prevent the artistic celebration of the original American culture from disappearing from view.
hi chris
Been 14 yrs since one the greats passed on..
John Curtis unreal I think of him shaking my hand miss Chris
The song that makes you wanna grab your gun and fire up the truck and go hunting
Very Nice video. Love the Cowboy's music, always have. Most folks will see that Llama with the cattle and not have a clue why he's there. A while back Llamas were popular with the trail mix crowd that were clueless about horses and mules so they went with pack Llamas. For quite a while now there's been a surplus of them and folks have been giving them away for many years. They make great cattle sentries against lions and wolves and their natural alertness, curiosity and aggression makes them Lion bait. Better a free Llama than a calf or a cow. It was cool your next picture was a lion. Happy Trails from Wyoming.
God bless him
I hear it to
This song makes me feel like telling my Boss fuck you n run threw the woods till I'm miles from ppl😂🤷

Does any body else besides me know how dangerous the storm clouds above the timberline is and the lightning in the summertime?
Just wondering. I'm sure some do.
weejams i was thinkin the exact same thing.
@William Stoddard Ya know friend it is ashamed to say that no one really knows what the "divide" is now days. Most people see it as left and right and blue and red but many have shared a fire and coffee and welcome just after the Civil War even. Many a white man has sat in the lodge of a red man and made peace with their people.
There is a reason why people white people went west long before Lewis and Clark and the whole Expedition of the Louisiana Purchase. It wasn't because of Beaver Pelts. Our heroes in history paints a picture in green but most people went into a wilderness because it was wild.
I think this guy is a good singer.
*Was, sadly this great man passed away
