Led Zeppelin - We're Gonna Groove Lyrics

Hear my baby comin' down the track
Betcha my baby's comin' back
Someday she'll get back to me
We're gonna raise a family

We're gonna groove, Yeah groove
Yeah we're gonna groove

We're gonna love... until the break of day

Sweet as sweet as sweet can be
You don't know whatcha do to me
Let me say you're my one desire
You just set my soul on fire

Oh we're gonna groove,Yeah groove
Yeah we're gonna groove
We gonna love... until the break of day

Sweet as sweet as sweet can be
Lemme tell ya you don't know whatcha do to me
You just set my soul on fire
Woman you know you're my one desire...

We gonna groove... [repeat]

Led Zeppelin We're Gonna Groove Comments
  1. M.... K....

This one, Baby please come home and Hey hey what can I do are in my opinion the best of the Zepplin "outtakes". Even the stuff they considered to be sub-par is still brilliant.

  2. C.... J....

My very first album and exposure to Led Zeppelin. Hooked for ever.

  3. A.... F....

    🎸👍🎸👍🎸👍🎸👍🎸👍🎸👍🎸👍🎸

  4. U.... 6....

    Coda is a good album!

  5. S.... P....

All guns a blazin on this one👍

  6. A.... O....

    This is great!!

  7. L.... C....

This is actually better without the extra guitar parts Page added for CODA but that probably to hide the crowd noise bleeding through the Mics from the live recording

  8. L.... S....

What can I say the most talented band ever

  9. F.... I....

    Led Zep. in full power!

  10. A.... B....

    Super! Super! Super!!!!

  11. R.... D....

This is actually my favorite LZ album.

    R.... D....

Im a Houses of the Holy fan..Coda is definitely up there in my top 3..Miles better than In through the Outdoor in my opinion

    R.... D....

@Robbie Starz Same my favorite is Houses of the Holy but I also love In through the Outdoor, there are crazy songs in there, Fool in the Rain is my favorite Zep song, I'm gonna crawl is pretty epic too

  12. P.... F....

Royal Albert hall w the vocals, drums, bass? And a totally new Jimmy Page solo and guitar additions! Love it! Plants voice live then in 70 the same as the 69 voice he recorded for lz2. Just makes me wonder if there's multi track recording's Royal Albert Hall.

  13. L.... S....

The only good song on a very forgettable album

  14. A.... S....

Is the vocal track taken from the Jan. 9th RAH performance? sounds just like it!

  15. q.... ....

    Better than Immigrant Song

  16. m.... l....

This was the opening song on the 1970 tour. There's a complete show on youtube. I saw them that year.

  17. k.... ....

My second favourite version. Manfred Mann did a wonderful cover also.

  18. D.... M....

This isn’t beginner type of shit.

  19. T.... ....

    He sounds like Dave Mustaine

  20. Z.... S....

did they take the live vocals from RAH '70 for this recording?

    Z.... S....

It's a live performance from 1970 with guitar overdubs added a decade later.

    Z.... S....

Was gonna ask the same thing. I prefer the live version

  21. C.... ....

    Written by Ben E King.

  22. T.... B....

The odd thing is it kind of sounds like a Hendrix song. At least the beginning does.

    T.... B....

The Bees dude Hendrix was so amazing that he influenced LZ. Long live Jimi Hendrix, and long live Led Zeppelin!

    T.... B....

@El Fenomeno yeah Hendrix gave rock n roll some heavy balls in 1968 and 69. it all lies in the blues.

  23. J.... V....

  24. S.... W....

    WE MISS YOU BONZO

    S.... W....

Sassy Wang yes we do. His birthday in a few days.

  25. G.... H....

    Great drumming.

  26. A.... ....

you can feel the energy from every instrument, just amazing

  27. R.... A....

Great Ben E King cover song

  28. G.... B....

This is better than everything on “In Through The Out Door”

    G.... B....

Fool in the Rain is objectively better

    G.... B....

Wheatley's Curiosity no this is objectively better. Plant can sing here.

    G.... B....

John David I disagree... Plant sounds great on Fool in the Rain. He does sound rather weak on tracks like Hot Dog and Carouselambra, though.

    G.... B....

Wheatley's Curiosity Plant has his moments on ITOD but “objectively” is not applicable when we're putting forward our subjective opinions. You prefer Fool in the Rain, I prefer this.

    G.... B....

    Are you kidding

  29. E.... E....

This is the first song I ever heard by Zeppelin. It was 1982, I was 14, I had just gotten my own room and my own stereo. The DJs were on the radio, and they were all excited about this album coming out for some reason. And this was the first track they were going to play. So I listened. LIFE CHANGING. I never listened to Dan Fogelberg again :-)

    E.... E....

People who are converted were usually teenagers my first was in 2015 I was 15 then now I’m 19 and I still listen to zeppelin

  30. s.... b....

I really love this song but❤.....i'm the only one who thinks that the bass and the drums got the best beat??

  31. m.... m....

By tor and the snow dog anyone?

    m.... m....

    I geomancer the tors

  32. B.... N....

he don't sound young in this at all

  33. C.... ....

    I love it

  34. B.... N....

This would've fit nicely on the Presence album, though I can understand why they didn't put it on the earlier records.

  35. A.... W....

Cobbled together Zeppelin is still extremely acceptable.

  36. S.... S....

Bad ass! The bass (and synthasizer) is so growly! TOTALLY GROOVES!! 😎

  37. J.... M....

Goddamn masterfully cut album. Totally burned through 2 cassettes of CODA as a kid.

  38. S.... A....

    worlds best cover band!

  39. K.... J....

Whoam'iiii babyyy were gonna lorrrve, lorrrve, lorrrrve

    A'till the break of day

  40. P.... K....

We gonna love love looove until the brink of day

  41. M.... B....

When you realise how much better they sound live

  42. J.... P....

    Legendary

  43. z.... b....

    I just fucking love this.

  44. c.... t....

Hear my baby comin' down the track
    Betcha my baby's comin' back
Someday she'll get back to me
    We're gonna raise a family

    We're gonna groove, Yeah groove
    Yeah we're gonna groove

We're gonna love... until the break of day

Sweet as sweet as sweet can be
You don't know whatcha do to me
Let me say you're my one desire
You just set my soul on fire

    Oh we're gonna groove,Yeah groove
    Yeah we're gonna groove
We gonna love... until the break of day

Sweet as sweet as sweet can be
Lemme tell ya you don't know whatcha do to me
You just set my soul on fire
Woman you know you're my one desire...

    We gonna groove... [repeat]

  45. M.... A....

    I love CODA!

  46. A.... T....

Led Zepplin one of the best groups of 2017...........

    A.... T....

    Of 1960

    A.... T....

@The One robert plant was 10 in 1960

  47. J.... C....

    compared to zep..........no body stands!!!!!!

  48. L.... B....

Bad-Ass song....I like the live version too along with the studio take... those Kats really knew how to "Groove" back in the day...

  49. S.... K....

Kinda sounds like it could also be something on sabbaths first album

  50. S.... F....

Would like to hear the bass turned up a bit in that intro

    S.... F....

It definitely turns up, especially after the main verses and during the solo.

  51. M.... A....

We're gonna groove is the first song Zeppelin preformed on January 9th 1970 at Royal Albert Hall

    M.... A....

    Cytronus *compilation

    M.... A....

I wish they edited that whole show like this, it was amazing.

    M.... A....

It almost sounds like the same vocal performance but with random guitar overdubs added in the studio.

    M.... A....

Alanko Meddle That’s exactly what it is.

    M.... A....

@Cole Man Most people would consider that a compilation album.

  52. W.... Z....

John Bonham is a master mind

  53. M.... M....

    We're Gonna Come

  54. J.... B....

This is like my go to song for warming up on drums.

    J.... B....

    YOU FOOL!

    J.... B....

Yea i bet you can play this song easily to warm up. I also bet you can play this exactly like Bonham did. Shut up plz.

    J.... B....

@Connor WilliamsWhy ya gotta be an ass? Do you just spend your day looking for people to bash? No One said they played it exactly like Bonham, asshole. They said the practice to this song to warm up and nothing wrong with that.
I can't understand why people can't just let people do their thing without trying to piss on their parade.

    J.... B....

@Connor Williams You really sucks Bonham balls.. Buddy.. Be noice to people.. have a wonderful day =)

    J.... B....

@Connor Williams Tommy said this to Jason: "Die Die Die Die Die..."

  55. B.... M....

rofl bafgahah who gives this song a thumbs down shame on them and may god have mercy on their soul

  56. Z.... T....

coda one of their least creapy albums ;)

    Z.... T....

It is one of their most Creaky albums.

  57. j.... c....

and we gonna love love love till the break of day!!!

  58. M.... M....

all the songs on this album feature John Bonham heavily. maybe the selfish ego centric pedophile wanker Jimmy page felt gui;ty about not release these songs on "his" albums

    M.... M....

Fraid not, Rolling stone magazine says she was 14 and they kept it hush hush. he must have got sick of all the 16 yo "milfs"

    M.... M....

But they said it was her quotes. So by logical reasoning, we can assume that her claims are false. They were also used to try to grab attention.

    M.... M....

Slime Shady that's not pedophelia, dumbshit.

    M.... M....

And Rolling Stone magazine never lies about anything. Yeah, just like groupies never lie to get attention. Some people are just so fucking gullible. He probably believes the story about Zeppelin being cannibals, eating women alive, and throwing the bones out their hotel window. THAT was also a story in the music press.

    M.... M....

This album was cobbled together from unreleased tracks and one live track to fulfill a legal obligation to the record label. Page was short a track so took Were Gonna Groove from their 1970 show and reworked it so it wouldn’t sound “live” - Every Zeppelin track ever released featured John because he was a badass drummer and always sounded awesome -

  59. T.... ....

    8/20/16 Happy Birthday Robert Plant.

  60. R.... S....

Led Zeppelin-one of those rare groups whose outtakes were better than most other artists "prime cuts".

    R.... S....

    Truman hopper,
It doesn't matter either way the song sounds amazing

    R.... S....

And sometimes better than their own Led Zeppelin prime cuts.

    R.... S....

@The Real Jerry Seinfeld It's a compilation album.

    R.... S....

Truman Hopper drums are indeed the same just mixed differently. Would be rare for Bonham to perform a piece of music exactly the same way twice. So maybe we can agree that Roberts’s vocals and bonham’s drums are live, but all of Jimmy’s work is overdubbed in the studio.

    R.... S....

Alot of shit can happen in the studio including retracking or re-recording whole parts of the original performance. Alot of Zepplin songs were done in this hodge podge fashion. Including Levee where the original basic tracks were done at headly grange with the stones mobile recording unit. The drums sounded awesome but the guitars were retracked later at a completely different studio. Knowing how some of these songs were made makes them all the more amazing.

  61. F.... G....

    ayyyyyyy
