I hear that a lot, with whole lotta love etc. But in my opinion, even if they took blues influences, they turned it into something spectacular. Otherwise, by your argument we should be surrounded by great bands like led zep!

I'm pretty sure that's just how it was mixed when it was first recorded for the BBC. I'm sure they didn't have the separate tracks still, this must've just came from a transcription (like this: https://www.discogs.com/Led-Zeppelin-Faces-Pop-Special-1-2/master/1306417 ) or a radio recording even. Maybe the tapes were even saved. Anyway, still nothing they could've really done that wouldn't of required a lot of extra work also no benefit of it.
