Led Zeppelin - Sick Again Lyrics

From the window of your rented limousine, I saw your pretty blue eyes
One day soon you're gonna reach sixteen, Painted lady in the city of lies.

Oh, do you know my name? Do I look the same
You know I'm the one you want. I must be the one you need, yeah

Clutching pages from your teenage dream In the lobby of the Hotel Paradise
Through the circus of the L.A. queens. How fast your learn the downhill side

Oh, do you know my name? Do I look the same
You know I'm the one you want. I must be the one you need,.

Lips like cherries and the brow of a queen, Come on, flash it in my eyes
Said you dug me since you were thirteen,Then you giggle as you heave and sigh.

Oh, do you know my name? Do I look the same
You know I'm the one you want. I must be the one you need.

Hours, hours, and the moments in between, Oh, baby, I couldn't count the times
the fun of comin', oh the pain in leavin', Baby, dry those silver eyes

Oh, do you know my name? Do I look the same
You know I'm the one you want. I must be the one you need,

Ooh, that's right.

Led Zeppelin Sick Again Comments
  1. Six feet Under

If i had to pick only one album stuck on a dessert island- your listening to it!

  2. Ken Miller

You are right Andy Paul was the good part of the band's success

  3. CARLOS EUGENIO CARLOS

Soo awesome guitar work by mr Page

  4. CARLOS EUGENIO CARLOS

The whole thing is great, but Bonham drumming is another level! R.i.p Bonzo

  5. Ana Oliveira'

    Lori Maddox approves

  6. Joe Fowler

, just listen to jimmy page on guitar and John Bonham on drums and the rest is history

  7. M Hall

Most underatted Zep song, hands down!

  8. Austin Holloway

I don't think the solo here keeps up the tension that the rest of the song carries.

  9. bluesque

Listen to this right after some hot vigorous sex... Absolutely calms it.

  10. chacha

    turned 16 listening to this

  11. American Patriot

Great stuff on this album... I think it was a double album.

  12. Jimmy Page

    1:41 solo

  13. Marz Barbieri

    Bonzo the best !!! R.I.P,

  14. mike yancik

the side with this song as the last is the best album side ever!!!

  15. Kier Smith

It's a very good album, it's definately a 'feel' thing with Zeppelin, i love Page, Jones, Bonham............ "The band is just fantastic, that is really what i think" im not a big fan of plants screeching and sub standard lyrics - but as i said, its about the 'feel' i get that. Great band though undoubtedly.

  16. William W. Campbell-Shepherd IX

Live version is wayyyyy better but great song

  17. Doug Piranha

This LP wanders around a bit, but slips into focus nicely on side 4. Always hated this "1993 remaster" tho, among my dumber CD purchases.

  18. bthor76

Not one of their best. In fact I’d say it’s a throwaway song. Just an album filler.

  19. opkill6

    THATS RIGHT

  20. Joshua Dowling

That's all it takes! That's all it takes! Love.

  21. Frankincensed

1:33 Bonzo begins an all out ear assault. An actual attempt to make everyone listening deaf. Mission accomplished.

  22. James Short

Aah, when rock was sexy and dangerous

  23. Andy D G

I’ll say it again, John Paul Jones is the silent soul of the band! The piece of the band that all the others rely on! If page is the color of the song then John Paul Jones is the lines that jimmy page colors in.

  24. Andy D G

Woke up this morning and decided to listen to the whole physical graffiti while having my coffee.. sadly, it’s about to end. GREAT ALBUM!

  25. Marco Deo

thumbs down .I recognize 5 out of 15 songs. Of the 5, none are as great as the songs off the first 5 Zep LPs. This is not my definition of a Great LP .Blow By Blow Is a masterpiece by Beck because all songs on the LP were great

    Jesuisartiste

Listen to it a few times. Morning Phase is Beck’s best;)

  26. Tim Stevens

Anyone know why it’s called Sick Again?

  27. Sid Nas

    Badass riff

  28. Mark O'Malley

We All Wish We Could Talk Like Plant....P Heaven!

  29. opkill6

It is simple. FUCK YEAH FUCK YEAH FUCK YEAH FUCK YEAH FUCK YEAH. Okay?

  30. Rob Cross

    Best Led Zep album.......just

  31. Neil Peart

Melhor banda de rock de todos os tempos

  32. Keaton Dennis

Every song on this album, other then Kashmir, has at least one comment saying "Man this song is so under appreciated". . . And thats awesome

  33. John Scorpion

As an avid Zep fan, I have to admit this is the least listened to album. I have to correct that.

  34. bigtex macgonigle

It's 6AM Tuesday morning...crank this up to 11....my whole apartment building just woke up.

  39. Dirt Rules

I used to listen to this during the 7 minute reentry thru the portal back when I traveled for the CIA.. I don't care anymore as I only have 2 months left.. what can they do to me...fuck them

  40. billywannock

I did not know how much Jimmy was into the occult until I read when giants walked the earth, Really made me think as to whether there's anything to all that dark stuff. Its a bit scary if there is.

    The NIFB Jesus

Only if you're superstitious. Here's how you overcome and be a champion; Boldly and definently stand against any claims and assertions of ANY "gods", "devils", "demons" or any other invented childish nonsense.

Superstitions and "gods" are fragile things. Smite them with the least bit of logic, reason, rationality and critical thinking, and they all topple squealing and humiliated off their vainglorious little squawking perches, and fall dashed to pieces on the ground...

    ...to be "Trampled Underfoot."

Be of good cheer. It's all just the way scam artists and conmen (and women) have successfully frightened the weak, frightened and gullible rubes of all civilizations and tribes, since the very early Shamans and Witch Doctors learned how god damned stupid and gullible humans really can be.

But you're not a god damned weak, stupid, gullible human - right? I'll definitely give you the chance to rise above it, and give you the benefit of a doubt until proven otherwise.

Join us, we who smash the imaginary "gods", "goblins", "devils" and "demons" and mock them right out of the existence they never occupied, except in weak minds.

Join us, who have figured this shit out, and shame the gullible hayseed rubes.

    I have openly and defiantly
challenged every imagined "god", "devil" and other boogeyman ever invented, to a fight for years. To come at me. To come "get meh." Show their shit or GTFOT.

Guess what happened? Not a goddamned thing. Crickets. They either don't exist, or they're terrified of me, hence they have no power. Only one can be true.

Think about it. Think of all the stupid shit people used to believe over the last 10,000 years, that we now laugh derisively at. And rightly so.

There's no excuse to be a superstitious dolt in the 21st century. In the Information Age.

Use your brain to counter the insane.

A lot of people are insane. Delusional. Mentally ill. Schizophrenic. They make up mind-fuck shit and spread it like a mind-virus to other schizophrenics and weak minded people who are stupid enough to believe delusional schizophrenic people.

No, do NOT listen to schizos, crazies, con artists and scammers or fall into their bullshit and drama. Put them in their place and show their stupidity will not be accepted or tolerated. Not in the 21st century.

People lie all the time and will say all kinds of bogus bullshit. Some just to troll & prank. Others are batshit worthless crazy.

Anyone who is superstitious is not to be trusted in any matter. Friendship, business, anything. They are displaying weak minds and emotional imaturity and stunted growth at the level of children.

Especially if you need to count on them in any form of combat, to have your back. The superstitious will cut and run the second an opponent has their number, knows how to exploit their weak minds, and uses it against them.

Then you end up the victim because you hung out and trusted a superstitious person. Don't do it. Be better than them.

  41. DJ Yogurt

Live Version was louder than this studio version.

  46. Tony Sharples

Far superior to the 2012 remaster?

  47. Stargazer26

So used to hearing this on the Zep bootlegs, I'd forgotten how great the studio version is as well. Love Robert's rough, raw, raspy vocal.

I just got this 3 disc set and my God it's incredible. I get in the car and drive and it takes me away. Led Zeppelin is by far my all time favorite band. The way they played off one another was incredible. They were right when John Bonham died to end the band. Still heartbreaking. Nobody could have filled his shoes....except for Jason.

  65. Desiree Hall

This song is about Jimmy ex girlfriend

  66. Music Guy

Sounds like Pete Townsend did the opening riff, then left the studio.

  80. Shayne Lombardo

Just to be clear I'm not Dissing Led Zeppelin they are Extremely Talented my Second Favorite band but like I said the Beatles will ALWAYS be Number 1

    brubeck_108

The Beatles had some kind of magic the could put down on studio albums. But zeppelin had the live shows .

  81. Shayne Lombardo

All you People saying that Led Zeppelin is better then the Beatles need to go back to Music appreciation school cause obviously you've failed and are clueless when it comes to Rock music....the Beatles paved the way for ALL these bands Led Zeppelin Pink Floyd The Rolling Stones ect. And Led Zeppelin Admired and looked up to the Beatles not the other way around

    Grey Poupon

Shayne..........Shhh. No one gives a shit.

  82. Jacob Kaufman

This album would've been the best birthday present if I had been born 30 years earlier lol. Missed all the good music

  83. Fox w Sox

You can hear someone cough at the very end

  84. BXGUY73

simple example as to WHY LED ZEPPELIN is 10,000 times better than the CORNBALL "BEAT/LESS." You can BLAST or TURN up the VOLUME of a LED ZEPPELIN song while in your car and "look "COOL" or "HIP." Do that with a Beatles song and you will look like an OUT-dated CORNBALL.

    Bluetop Guitar

Bullshit. Respect your elders. The Beatles and Stones opened the doors for Zep. That does not take away from the greatness of any of the three. Music is not sports.

    BXGUY73

@Bluetop Guitar The STUDENTS - (LED ZEPPELIN) got straight A+ in their classes and came back to "TEACH" the Beat-LESS how it's really done. LOL! Rolling Stones always ROCK! Beatles still suck, they were good at BUTCHERING other artists songs/"cover songs" - (Chuck Berry, and anything MOTOWN).

    Bluetop Guitar

@BXGUY73 the Beatles opened the door. The stones kicked it open the rest of the way. . That's how it went. You are very misguided and you don't understand music in the least. I personally think Jimi Hendrix is the best guitarist ever. Other people have favorite players. I am a guitar teacher and I try hard to reach all my students. You need an attitude check. I have some amazing guitar students. Because I nurtured their playing and didn't act like a child. Bye bye. I'm going to play some Beatles and Sabbath and Johnny Winter and whatever the hell strikes my fancy. Open your mind.

    BXGUY73

@Bluetop Guitar People like the Beatles, others DON'T. Simple as that. I'll take Led Zep over the Beat-"LESS" any day of the week. Forgive my insolence for not conforming to the establishment thoughts about the Beat-LESS. I think they SUCK. If there were signs saying the Beatles are performing on the East End Ave and either the Rolling Stones, JIMI, or LED ZEP was performing on WEST End Ave. Without any doubt I'd go to WEST End. To hell with the Beat-LESS.

  85. Lil' Dee

    This song kicks ass

  86. Derek Jackson

my favorite recorded guitar solo page has ever done, so much mood and feeling here, Plant is very much RAW and Raunchy like much of his better 75 live shows

  87. thomas balink

  88. Patrick Price

What happened to " music " since this area?

  89. Rillymilly

Most underrated epic guitar solo ever!!!!

  90. Private Jimmy

Genius natural loose guitar work both/all tracks... this is true musicianship kids..

  91. drmjr78

I think the opening chords sound a bit like the Who song, "I'm Free", from Tommy.
