LCD Soundsystem - One Touch Lyrics
I don't think that we will be pleased with this
We have waited for a long time
I recall the promises made to us
We've been patient for a long time
You gave the opening, opening
One touch is never enough
People who need people, to the back of the bus
I don't see how we could be pleased with this
We've been waiting for a long time
I recall the promises made to us
We've been patient such a long time
No one is dangerous
Unless we get a closer view
One touch is never enough
People need to move to the back of the bus
One touch is never enough
Complicated people never do what you're told to
One touch is never enough
People will need this in the back of the bus
One touch is never enough
People who need people are just people who need people
One touch is never enough
One touch is never enough
One touch is never enough
People who need people are just people who need people
I don't think that we will be pleased with this
We have waited such a long time
There's no way that we can be pleased with this
We've been waiting such a long time
We've been waiting such a long time
We've been waiting such a long time
This is getting sort of unreasonable
But we've been waiting a very long time
One touch is never enough
One touch is never enough
One touch is never enough
One touch is never enough
One touch is never enough
One touch is never enough
One touch is never enough
People who need people, to the back of the bus
No one is dangerous
No one is dangerous
Until we get a closer view

So freaking cooooool!
Read alot about interpretations of the meanings of this song and all have merit and are more likely correct than my personal one, which is:
I think of these lyrics every time I am in a sort of neglectful relationship as with boss or girlfriend that either literally or metaphorically provides one touch then goes back to being neglectful whilst making promises and/or says just wait and meanwhile makes you feel bad for caring and shoves your ass to the back of the bus...

We owe it all to cs188 for bringing us to these hidden tracks

that Yellow Magic Orchestra feeling in LCD Soundsystem songs is a unique thing in this world
The sound quality of this is trash.
Exactly how it's supposed to be.
Dirty...so dirty too.
Sooooo nasty good!
awesome
its not original sorry
I am here because my 15 year old daughter told me to listen to this. she says that there is a DM reference from People are People. Some Great Reward is possibly one of my favorites of all time. I like this but the beginning reminded me of NIN... Kind of cool but in my opinion
Does anyone else hear Kraftwerk in this?
@Nathan Aaron obvious influence :)
you guys should check out The Bus by Executive Slacks, trust me
Do you hear Kraftwerk in anything electronic?
I vaguely remember watching/reading an interview with James and he said he wanted to make a song like The Bus- and this was the result. Both fantastic songs.
i did it
try not dancing to this. i dare you. i double dare you
very talking heads. deffo. not such a bad thing. speaking in tongues era
More Gary Numan. Pretty awesome
i can change is not far after it
I'M LAUGHING SO HARD. That's the exact reason i'm here.
More ladders.
Ladies and gentlemen, now get up and dance to the catchiest song ever made.
This should be the Pope's theme song!!
I hear Talking Heads and LCD Soundsystem wherever I am and it feels gooooooooooood!
I hear a lot of Bowie and Talking Heads in this
Bowie is a big influence to LCDSS
STOP THE POLITICAL CIRCUS.
thumbs up if cs188 brought you here :)
Heard this is "Hot Topic". It went well with the atmosphere, I was totally dancing. And now here I am...
Damn, I love this. Very 80's dark wave-esque. Stuff you would hear in a goth club. Color me seduced.
The only solution is to use the crysis as an excuse to wipe out china!
OR LAWL OR LAWL

WIPE OUT CHINA! *clap clap clap clap*
holy shit, could not agree more!
This always reminded me a little bit of David Bowie's What In The World
Apparently there are people who think, 1 touch is enough.
This song came on while I was stuck in traffic.
temazooo coño
@adrianbeloo THIS MEANS WAR :D
This group sure is good at getting the JOJ done.
@Twisted1357 Nope, being a true LCD Soundsystem fan brought me here.
people that were sent here from cs188 at 2:10 is the part that are you searching for
JoJ Madden
One JOOJ, is never enough!
@Twisted1357 we need to wipe out China!
7 people only had... ONE TOUCH - which was more then enough.
@DanDaMan2794 NO!!!
7 people have had enough.
@RickyStevens94 I was the same at a fest here in Ireland last Sept. I had only heard Drunk Girls and Daft Punk; I was indifferent but my friends were WILD with excitement about LCD's headline slot. So they came on stage that night and I was completely blown away. Kept turning to my friend shouting WHY did nobody tell me they were THIS good?! Sad that they're gone but I'm so relieved I did see them before it was too late. Very important group.
Me and my 5 year old son play the basketball game "horse" to this and do funky/robotic dance moves as part of the shot that must be copied - it's a hoot! He loves it.
Esta rola esta bien chingona lastima que se desintregren???¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
@showtime0824 i'll give you some help. its good.
This is so 80's. Can't decide if it's good or just boring.
@effinyeah fuckin dirty fuck music :)
This is such a good song although before I knew what it was called I thought they were saying "white trash". I kind of like that better.
Never Enough
This song is beaut.
I went to reading this year and at the time i'd only heard all my friends and drunk girls. i was waiting to see Guns and Roses but they took too long to come on so i just thought i'd go see these guys instead - give them a try. I was totally blown away! now one of my favourite bands, such a shame this is probably their last album!
@nykballaz I hope so too, but it seems james murphy is more concerned with running his record label. I personally will keep up with him as a producer. Who knows, maybe he'll do more music under a different project name in a different genre.
LCD is so sick i hope this isnt his last album
Also, if Fuck Buttons is too monotonous for you, try Yppah's most recent "They Know What Ghost Know". More of a big beat....really funky album.
@dateacha33 thanks for the link up brah, i really enjoyed that
Dude every time I try to listen to LCD Soundsystem I get bored....obviously you guys are looking for some cool, repetitive, electronic music to listen to....try Fuck Buttons - Tarot Sport or go back and listen to Underworld's - Dubnobasswithmyheadman for some real powerful, classic drone electronica
@MaxPower765 I dont think it actually wants to be a Joy Division song. Instead, this guy is just influenced by alot of great bands, and you can clearly hear it. I think being influenced by these bands is a great thing. There is no shame to it.
This band is also so modern, it can definitely apeal the younger audiences. All in all, Murphy is doing a great job as an artist, musician and a fan of music.
best album yet
This is getting kind of unreasonable.
party nooow! yeha!
AAHHHHH!!! The background beat is so infectiousfvjksdfklsdf!
My fav song on the album.
Song Of The Day.
One listen is never enough.
He must have been listening to Eno: Nerve net
the lyrics reminded me of the 80s Song "Toy Box" from Sheila E.
One touch - is too much
@ParagonCookie a certain ratio - good together reminds me of this song.
@ParagonCookie Murphy actually stated in his NME track by track interview that The Executive Slacks are a direct influence to this song.
@MaxPower765 I hear that for sure...I thought Suicide/Alan Vega at first though.
This song wants very badly to be a Joy Division song.
Not that James Murphy's not awesome. It wants to be a JD song, but in a good way.
@dbennisonable Totally agreed. I wonder if Prince would let him. He can be kind of touchy about those things.
Of they'd only covered 'All the critics love you in New York' by prince, it would have been cool in so many lame ways, and would have funked like no other.
Best track on the album
how can they manage to be always so good
love love love these guys. i haven't waited on a record release like this since i was a kid. big thanks to James and everyone who makes LCD happen.
