6 years today I lost my 4 yr old son and he died before he graduated prek, and they played this at his graduation and today I am losing my fucking mind, goddamn I miss him so fucking much

Im so much like my father its not even funny, but our relationship is not good and i don't understand why. Ive tried talking to my father over the years, but we've both changed emotionally and its pit a divide between us and i do not know how to break the barrier between us. It hurts so much that i can not talk to my father like i used to. I've been a father for the last 23 years and i enjoy being around my kids, so i dont understand why its so difficult me and my father. There are days i just cry because i miss him and want to hear my fathers voice, but he refuses to talk to me and ive asked him over and over what I've done so wrong for him to ignore me.. i love my father and would die for him.

I commented on this song on August of 2017. My son and daughter in law were going to have a son. My grandson. On 24 January, 2018, Kayden James Murphy was born. So yes, when I saw my grandson, and held my grandson, the feeling was beyond. But when I saw my son hold his son for the first time, this song came into my heart

I know the feeling! I was there when my grandson was born in 2011, when I saw how my son looked at my grandson, I also thought of this song and of the road he had ahead of him with his own son! I am a mother and I know mothers and fathers do not see their boys the same way! I had to be a mother and a father to both of my boys ! It was a very hard road raising them alone, my dad tried to help, but my oldest son never saw the genuine love my dad had for my boys! He refuses to speak to anyone in his family, especially me! I don't know why!

this song makes me cry. reminds me of my dad. we never get along. but he was always there for me and has helped through a lot. makes me cry because I've treated him like shit since I turned 13 and I wish with all my heart I could fix our relationship.

I totally agree, there are some movies/ shows that i used to be able to watch no problem. Just can't do it anymore when it involves a child getting killed or hurt

My nephew turns 10 next week and a short time after that my niece his sister will be 8 years old and their father my brother has been in and out of their lives their whole life he's been in and out of prison. anyway I've stepped up to help take care of them kids in a way I guess you could say I've been Auntie mother and father to them and it breaks my heart to see how fast these kids are growing up and their dad is missing everything. I'm there for these kids for a lot of things I've been there for baseball games birthday parties School functions holidays I've been there for them when they said their first words and took their first steps. And I was even there when they were born and I was the first one to hold them. so I guess you could say I've had a bond with his kids from the moment they were born. I know my loves his children he has told me that. But I just wish that he would grow up and get his life together and realize that he has only been granted a few precious years with his children when they want him around because pretty soon his children are going to be all grown up and he's going to be the one chasing them around for a little bit of attention . you only get a few precious years with your children so love them and spend time with them as much as you can.

How true about the kids. I raised my kids myself, even had one that had epilepsy and ADHD, I was there for all of it. I am now sixty-one years old and missing my oldest son. He cut me off years ago and refuses to speak to me and he has never told me why or what I did to make him want to treat his mom this way! I am presently living with my second son, but sometimes he treats me so sarcastically that I wonder what I've done to cause him to speak to me that way! They grow up so fast! I miss the days of sticky fingers and big hugs just because! Where did the time go?
