+Drend So many corkers on that record, just don't get it. I think the AtPB - Sacrament run was pretty golden though. To me, metal bands seem to always have that sweet spot in the middle of their career where they're still young and passionate, but have ironed out the kinks in their early days (musical shortcomings and, of course, production).

Holy Fuck! I've been, for lack of better terms, "gone" for awhile. was not around when this album was released. How in the fuck is this not a well liked album. Haven't listened to it all but damn this is some good shit!

For such an ill-regarded album this has some seriously amazing songs, I just don't get it. Ghost Walking, Desolation, Visitation, Invictus, and -f course -the Undertow, are all fantastic tracks. Best album since Ashes, hands down.

Sorry for your album (and car too) jeje. Ruin and as palaces are great songs but I prefer wrath too, Perhaps the two last albums are the best, anyway i really like and listen a lot all of them. What about the new song?, still echoes is really great. the new album in July.

Lamb of God will never bring out anything to top the Ashes album. Their most brutal, punchy-ist real proper metal album. I still like their new stuff but Ashes was their pinnacle of greatness.

To settle the "Genre war" on this fantastic band. Wikipedia has them pegged as Groove/New wave american metal.. THats it.. get the fuck over it and rock the fuck on.

Lamb of God has always been the only metal band with screaming vocal's that I have ever liked, and just like every song they do Randy fucking kills it in this one. This, to me, is far and away their best album with Wrath coming in a close second.

Scream at 2:44 is literally one of the most brutal things I have ever fucking heard.

The best part is, it sounds the exact same live. My favorite Randy Blythe scream is from Laid to Rest.

This particular breakdown should be shown to all the metalcore kids as an example of how to do a breakdown correctly. In this song, the breakdown is a fucking heavy-ass RIFF, instead of that predictable chugging syncopation.

Breakdowns can be bad-ass and I'm certainly not against them like people who have knee-jerk reactions against any music with the word "core" in it, but I think that many lesser bands abuse them and they become stale. LOG knows how to use them to their maximum effect and the result is usually a hole in my wall and broken knuckles.
